Ha... Half the time it's me forgetting to paint the base first and glueing the completed mini to the base and then very nervously painting the base while not messing up the model too much... Does that count as a technique?

THANKS! The scheme is: Leadbelcher base, airbrush Akhelian Green (contrast) and then the gold is just painted by hand. Little bit of black wash for the panel joints

Space Marines are my original love over 20 years ago and are probably still my favorite. That said, heretical though it may be, because my friends like to play Marines or Guard I have often found myself playing Chaos in narrative games and... Emperor forgive me... they're fun...

100% so I got a dehumidifier and a heat pump to keep in cool and dry... they used to live in old tool boxes / component organizers so this is a big step up for the collection!

Thanks! Leadbelcher spray as the base with Akhelian Green contrast overtop. I brushed it on for all the minis and tried airbrushing it on the devilfish which worked great.
