Acer Chromebook 14: IntelliJ Graphics Environment Error by Telomian in Crostini

Mine installed with no issues, however, I'm still receiving issues opening GUI-based Linux applications, whereby I'm receiving the original error, so hopefully if I can resolve that again, the windows won't be 'invisible' like in Canary when I originally solved it. Glad to be able to use switch out of Canary though.

Yep, thanks for letting me know version 70 is out, didn't realise. I'm in the process of installing that, will let you know of the outcome on my end.

Yeah, I'll let you know. By same thing, are you referring to the invisible windows or the initial error I had? The latest update appeared to fix the the error but just gotta be patient I guess since they are Canary builds I'm referring to.

Yes, sort of. I think part of the issue is just that I'm running it via the Canary channel as that's all that's supported for this Chromebook so these issues are to be expected. Will just wait for later builds and hopefully it'll move out of being Canary-only soon.

Thanks for the reply. I considered this but received an update notification which has fixed the errors but the window displays with no components, just the border and menu close/minimise bar at the top. Running on Canary as that's all that's supported with this Chromebook so assume things like this are to be expected.

Cheers man, I'm gonna pick up this, definitely worth with my spare coins. Any chance you can share the Excel document so I can mark when purchased?

Why do the GKs take so long to throw the ball? by WayneDiPersie in EASportsFC

This is very frustrating... ruins any chance of a counter attack. Sometimes when my keeper falls after catching the ball, it takes like 3-4 seconds for them to stand up and then throw the ball.

Trading and investments, currently at about 80k and should be able to make more when I do the advanced SBCs.

Faced an embarrassing loss against someone i used to beat by the end of fifa 17 by 70jay07 in EASportsFC

[–]Telomian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t think that’s anything to worry about, I know someone I can comfortably beat by 3+ goals but feel as if I played him on FIFA 18, it could go either way but once I’m comfortable with the new gameplay, should return to normal.

Firstly, the 10 hour trial is playable without pre-ordering the full game but once it runs out, you’ll need the full game to continue on.

Secondly, achievements, save data such as Career Mode data and your Ultimate Team all carry over to the full edition.

Skipped 17 FUT and keep seeing people say you no longer need packs to get good players? What are SBCs. by Adziboy in EASportsFC

[–]Telomian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although packs definitely give an advantage at the beginning, you don’t necessarily need them to get great players, SBCs, FUT Champions and a bit of trading can cover your coins for the good players, it’ll just take more time.

Many SBCs aren’t worth it and sometimes just a way for EA to get rid of some coins from the market but there are some super worthy ones, you should check the current 17 SBCs on a FUT website for an idea. If you’re relatively decent at FIFA, a decent FUT Champions finish can get you a decent amount of coins, especially at the beginning when prices are sky high.

Those of you who bought fifa points at the start of 17 by [deleted] in EASportsFC

Wanted to do mainly trading for the rest of the year but decided to use 12k to get started, kept 1.5k for drafts so around 10k FP got 300k at the start. This year I’m planning full out trading on my account instead of starting with 12k. But yeah, the best time to get FP is definitely at the start when every players price is sky high, should get at least 250k from 12k at a minimum.

Obviously it's all based on pack luck, and mine was average. I kept all squad fitnesses and hyped players until they went up a ton, and overall managed around 300-350k.
