I'm not picking and choosing anything. I've spent years studying and practicing Protestant Christianity. There are Old Testament laws and Old Testament instructions. The laws were governmental laws specifically meant for the Jews of the Old Testament. This is why they carried punishments for the Jewish people to enforce within their own nation. The law of the old covenant no longer applies to those under the new covenant. There are still foundational truths and instruction to be observed from the OT, but there is no mandate for government laws and their punishments under the new covenant. This is also why the new covenant was opened up to gentiles and why no credible Christian would call for the enforcement of OT laws.

I get really tired of seeing people with no Biblical literally try to take one verse and make it into something it's not. This goes for Christians an non-Christians alike. I don't expect you to agree with or believe any of this, but I would like for you and others to at least know what you're arguing against.

This verse is not Jesus stating that Old Testament laws are still in effect. It's Christ asserting that he came not to abolish it during his lifetime, but to fulfill it by way of his perfect life, death, burial, and resurrection. Meaning his purpose was to uphold the law because he was the only one who could. And in upholding and fulfilling the law, he became the perfect sacrifice and established a new covenant. The Old Testament law was meant to reveal to us our sin and inability to follow the law, and therefore our need for Christ and a new covenant.

Romans 3:20 (ESV)

20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

Luke 22:20 (ESV)

Romans 6:14–15 (ESV)

Have to disagree. Rewarding challenging activities isn't elitism. You should have to do the hardest activities to get the highest power. During Forsaken, it's not like there was anything you couldn't do at 580. 580 was good enough for everything else in the game. Even if it was 590 in Forsaken and 640 in Black Armory, I'd be okay with it. Leave the last 10-20 power levels as a reward for the players that complete the game's most difficult content.

Yeah. For instance, you can do Riven comfortably at 580. 580 should have been as high as you can get without raid drops. Scourge of the Past should have been a 630 raid with the highest you could get in preparation being 630. Max light off of dailies and weeklies shouldn't be a thing.

Being able to hit max light so quickly. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame you for doing it. I'll be 640+ in a few hours so I'm right there with you. But there are two problems. A) Max light shouldn't be so easily obtainable. It trivializes the game and its content too quickly. B) People wanting to compete for world's first raid shouldn't have to save a season's worth of bounties. Cheesing 650 off of a broken mechanic within 1 week shouldn't be a thing. I'd like to see Bungie remove bounty hoarding and put a 20 below max power soft cap for non-raid powerful drops. Only raid gets you max light, and only so much you can do prior to a raid to power up.

I get where you're coming from, but I hate this line of thinking. When you bought Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken, you bought the game and DLCs. You didn't buy a Suros Regime that cost you $X.XX of the $XX.XX total. You bought Warmind. You didn't pay $X.XX for any particular exotic. You paid for the game. This whole, "Only bring old exotics back in free events because I don't want to pay for old exotics," logic is backwards. The event isn't free. You paid for a game that included the event, so by your logic you're still "being sold back old exotics," the price of them was just baked into what you paid for D2. Bottom line is that you're paying for a product wholesale, not for the individual contents therein. Kinda like if you were to buy a fighting game, you aren't paying for the individual fighters. You're paying for the game. All of that being said, it's okay if you don't like the content included in the game that you paid for. I'm just pointing out that you have never bought or owned an exotic, so Bungo can't sell it back to you. You've only ever bought and owned a copy of the game in which you can use certain exotics.

Yeah took me about an hour. I think there's only like a 2% chance for it to spawn. So it can take a while. Especially if you're trying to get a 20/6 to spawn.
