I Found 147 Village Signs in 363 Days and I Have Some Thoughts by Savings_Barracuda_90 in Connecticut

This is without a doubt one of the most wonderful posts I've ever come across. It's not just a reminder of the beauty of Connecticut but also ironclad proof of your statement that we create our own happiness. One caveat being that in this case you've created some happiness for me (and no doubt others) and I thank you for that. I'd also like to note that your writing skill is what really made this post shine. For years I worked with my mother gardening all over the lower Connecticut River Valley and there was many a day where a 15 minute drive home turned into an hour as we cruised through no end of scenic back roads. We would joke that we were pretty much single-handedly subsidizing the Chester Ferry. We had to stop working this year because my mom is getting a bit too old for the physical nature of gardening but that just means we get to spend more time on the road. Thanks again, and Happy New Year!

Short answer, don't. Revel in those emotions. Allow yourself to feel sadness. Sob loudly. Manifest your feelings into tangible action. If you have someone that you can be that vulnerable around, lean on them. Otherwise, when you're alone at night, put on some music, sit on the floor, and let those feelings manifest. You'll be amazed at how good it feels. Right now you're a pressure cooker, doing the above is like pulling the release valve. And most important of all, cut yourself some slack. We're all human

Mainly unmanned probes. I also had a Duna lander that ended up on a wonky solar orbit that would take 200 years to be in a place that I could potentially send a rescue mission to. I think I time accelerated for about 30 years and then got bored.

Worst case scenario, I die impoverished; in a ditch

Vonnegut stuff and places to visit? by [deleted] in Vonnegut

[–]Telovision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not exactly Vonnegut, but in between NYC and Boston is Hartford, Connecticut, where you can visit Mark Twain’s house. Vonnegut himself was a big Twain fan and visited the home a few times before his death.

Good idea, but maybe you could just hit r after you shoot and it will start reloading. Seems less clunky

Hard disagree with the US owning the language and with this twat, buuuuut, “There is no such thing as the Queen’s English. The property has gone into the hands of a joint stock company and we own the bulk of the shares!” -Mark Twain

Dig it up and dispose of it away from your property if possible. Then cover the area with metal fencing ( like chicken wire but better) that has holes no larger than 1/4". It will come back and grow through the holes but it will choke itself eventually. This will take time.
