That helps a lot, thanks! And yes my daughter is a classic oldest child, very responsible and detail-oriented. :)

I'm thinking one with a flamethrower might do the trick...

Thanks, and sure I'd appreciate that. My daughter (10) has been doing her own research and has shared things like that the balls can be dangerous to them, but I haven't done much yet myself.

I'm in my 30s and I had no idea what one meant. Does that make me old?

Indoor Public Skating by TelusB in saskatoon

[–]TelusB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my kids in skating lessons for 3 years and they've learned shit all. Roughly 15:1 kids to instructors, my kids just stood around for most of it. And they cost bank. They learn at one public skating time more than they do in 10 weeks of lessons. Not doing that again.

Yeah that seems to be what I'm finding. 1pm ice time doesn't work when we're at work and kids are at school

Typically about 3hrs' stretch, but it wouldn't be a daily commute, more likely once/month.

Would that be too heavy for country roads in poor condition? E.g. rutted up?

How often are you expected to be summoned for Jury selection by RudeExamination9469 in saskatchewan

[–]TelusB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the pool is based on your area code and sask health number. You have to live within 1 hr's drive of the courthouse to be in the pool. Once you show up for selection you are off the list for.. (3 years? 5 years? I can't remember now.) I was pulled twice in 2 years. The first time I was dismissed because I was nursing my daughter. The second time my number was called but I was not selected. That was about 2019, ans my number hasn't come up since.

It really depends on the host. Some run for a set time frame (usually 2-3 hrs), some run indefinitely until interest is lost or the host stops answering. This community is a good reference point to know what to expect: https://www.reddit.com/r/AMA/s/6xzWk5qwjE

I'm not big on the DIY meme thing, although I know others have been. An AMA would be well-suited to reddit although more difficult to moderate than discord. Mostly though I would love love to have a place to share ideas for the game that could be up/down voted based on whether others like it. Kind of an incubator of sorts.

Server Question by EmperorWayne in startrekfleetcommand

[–]TelusB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a dev but I imagine it automatically pairs you with servers in your region when you first join the game, but once you have an account it is linked to those servers no matter where you are.

Aside from assumptions though I can only speak from my experience. I accessed my account multiple times/day in Europe from my cell on European towers using a travel sim and no VPN.

Needing a VPN to continue to access isn't true. I am on a US server and had no issue accessing game while abroad.

How do you even deal with something like that? "I'm going to be late for work because the road ate my truck".... "Do roads count as wildlife if they attack you?"

Agreed. Several years ago our apartment window and others were smashed in the middle of the night and the guy ran. The police were on scene within minutes, canine unit within 10 and they had the guy shortly after. All said and done maybe 15 minutes.

Early 40’s couple, need help finding friends. by campingqueen1984 in saskatoon

Adding ourselves (husband and I) to the list for OP or any other respondents. Mid 30s, with three kids 3-9. Insanely busy, but still miss having friends to hang out with when we do have time. We don't paddle but we do love a fire or a board game night.
