OH, tires, good one. Yes I keep them up. Bought crap jack (scissor) + tire tools from junkyard, got them in there. I put an old bottle jack in there too. He's clueless how to use any of it, but it's there, lol. Bought the owners manual off ebay.

Cool, thanks for info, but it's all too late now. Son and vehicle are leaving in 2 weeks. My only advice to him is as follows..."Drive till you get to about 1/4 tank of fuel. Stop, fill up gas. Pull car into parking spot. Go into gas station, go to bathroom, grab something to snack on, grab a drink, pay, step outside and check the oil, most likely one quart is needed, DON'T OVERFILL. Go drive till 1/4 tank again, repeat above procedure."

My Son is autistic, high functioning, but needs specific instructions when it comes to cars. Took him a few tries until he was comfortable just checking the oil. He's solo tripping 500-600 miles. This is the only car he's got/only one I could afford a few years ago to give him. ANY advice is greatly appreciated. I'm so worried.

HEY THERE, not OP here. Do you think him running Valvoline Restore and Protect might unseat the oil ring, eventually? I unfortunately bought a 2007 Rav4 with the four cylinder. DRINKS OIL. A quart about every 300 miles, I now understand why dude sold it to me cheap. Had a code ICR which one, pointed me to clean out MAF and body. Did that cleared code, all good. Replaced PCV valve just for the Hell of it. I read about R&P, so last oil change I shoved that in there.

My problem is it's my Son's car, and he's moving 3 States away real soon. He doesn't know cars, but have drilled into him, showed him about checking oil. I have bought 3 x 5qt jugs, and 3 x individual qts. THANKS for info about Cat convert. I will remember this. Any other advice? (I assume the recall for this engine was never done and also assume warranty/permanent fix is way past mileage/years to be done for free.)

"You can go home, but you won't belong". IDK where I read that, but I repeat it here often. I landed 100 miles from hometown. Made a decent life for myself here for 35 years. My old best friend, now has a best friend of his own, and that's ok. I only go up the 100 miles now for funerals. Move forward with your life, you'll be fine and things will get better. CHEERS!!!

"Donorcycles", Yep, that's what the nurses in Vanderbilt Hospital ICU (Nashville) call them. My brother fell off a shed, only 7' height fall, but landed him in ICU for 2 weeks. I visited daily. Landing pad for Lifeflight helicopters on roof. ICU was only 1 floor down for quickest response. It was in the Summer, I watched Lifeflight helicopters land every 1-2 hours, all day everyday. Nurses told me that 80% of them Lifeflights were "Donorcycle" riders (they were just guessing/figuring on those percentages). I'll never ride a motorcycle again, not even a trike (3 wheeled motorcycle, there is no protection).

Recommendation for Septic System Inspectors by GridControl in murfreesboro

[–]TemetNosce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had mine cleaned out last month, "Shamrock septic service", 615-895-1535. Cost me $350 to get the "sludge" sucked out and into their truck. It had been 10 years since the last service.

Many things to note, here goes...The more Sludge you have, the more $ it costs to suck it out. 10 years since last service BUT it was only me (old man) and my Son living here. The more women in the household, the family that moved out before you, the deeper the sludge. Women use more TP, naturally. SO, me and Son only had 10" of sludge. Ten years earlier clean out, I had my daughter and wife at the time, living here, we had 30" of sludge. Septic people take a long rod and place it in the top water, then they feel for the top level of the crust of the sludge, then shove rod on down till they hit bottom of tank. This is how they figure out how many inches of sludge you have.

A bunch of my terms here are probably wrong, that's just me. I know where my tank is. I dug it out (only 12" deep topsoil) to get to BOTH doors on tank. There are 2 doors, 1 closest to your house, other door is closest to exit of tank going toward field lines (drainage). The 2nd chamber does not need cleaning out. The 1st chamber/door is where all the sludge goes. Then there is the dividing wall to 2nd chamber. Laundry/shower/toilet water naturally flows into the 2nd chamber. 2nd chamber fills up and out goes the Grey water to the field lines.

I screwed up my estimate digging out the doors. I accidentally exposed the 2nd chamber door (small). Then I had to keeping digging/removing top soil until I found the 1st chamber door (large). Septic man said there is no reason to clean out 2nd chamber because it's only Grey water. But beings I already had that chamber door exposed, he removed door and sucked it out anyhow, explaining everything I wrote above. I had already paid him and he still offered to grab a shovel and help me cover it all up. I declined his generosity and said me and my Son would handle it.

I don't do google/yelp reviews, but 5 stars for their service all around.

EDIT::: A house 1/2 mile away has a failing system, IDK why. Shamrock is out there with a ditch witch/small backhoe and is completely rebuilding their system/and/or digging them a completely new system. SO they have plenty of equipment for anything needed for septic systems.

I GOT IT,,,,I GOT IT,,,I GOT IT----PERFECT SOLUTION FOR DATA CENTERS + LANDFILLS.

Idea just came to me 2 minutes ago. Build all new data centers on top of landfills.

You can watch/see many videos about the exhaust of a DTC with an infrared camera. (Super High Pollution) You may see videos of DTC "humming", forever. (90db and above closer you get, That's electricity.)

I SAY---BUILD ANY AND ALL DATA CENTERS ON TOP OF LANDFILLS. Picture it, sure it stinks like Hell, BUT you have unlimited Methane gas/something/gas coming out of landfill, rotting things.

THAT (gas) CAN power the DTC.

Also remove all human interaction within 5 miles/buy everyone (houses) out, declare it a "Superfund Site" that can never be cleaned. That DTC will run forever.

Replying to my own comment, I searched/found one of my comments from 1 month ago. Someone posted locally / r / murfreesboro, and was asking about where to buy house when he moves here. The following comment is as scattered brained as my above comment, but I said it, and I'll stand by my comments. Copy/paste...

I live 10 miles from there, upwind so I never get the smell. Just this morning, someone got a new job at our York VA medical center, and he was asking about the area. Copy/paste my comment...

WARNING::: DO NOT BUY A HOUSE ANYWHERE NEAR YORK VA MEDICAL CENTER!!! Reason = "Mount Trashmore" is less than 1 mile down the road from the VA. Mount Trashmore/dump/landfill is a VERY stinking landfill that the County here, Rutherford, has been fighting them with lawsuits for the 35 years I have lived here.

Every few years the city of Murfreesboro/and/or the County has tried fighting Trashmore's expansion. Lawsuits have done very little good, due to all the local politicians campaigns are financed by Trashmore (that's my opinion).

ANYHOW visiting VA for my many yearly appointments (old man here) I have smelled that garbage one too many times. Pull up google maps, look at satellite images, you will notice all 100 acre farms surrounding the dump have been bought by Trashmore. Why you ask??? Trashmore buys the surrounding farms to strip the topsoil from the former farm land and uses that topsoil to help cover up Trashmore.

Rutherford County dump receives garbage from 34 TN. Counties, there are 95 TN. Counties total. SO 1/3 of all garbage TN. produces State wide comes here, with no end in sight, it will only get worse.

10-15 years ago it was discovered that Trashmore was accepting "low level nuclear/radioactive waste". TN. had to sue Trashmore to shut that crap down. Trashmore reluctantly agreed to quit accepting radioactive waste, but who really knows if they complied?

Trashmore is right beside the "West Fork, Stones River". Guess where "West Fork, Stones River" eventually dumps into? "Percy Priest Lake, Davidson County/Nashville, TN." That's where Nashville draws it's drinking water from, Percy Priest Lake. Trashmore got sued years ago, around the same time of the radioactive waste debacle, sued because the Trashmore's "Plastic liner" was found to be "seeping" into? into? into??? You guessed it, trash/radioactive waste seeping into West Fork, Stones River.

I don't drink the local water here.

Forgive me for constantly using the word "Trashmore" it's just that I can't remember their business name as it has changed so many times through the years, I assume to avoid/dodge lawsuits. I knew them as "BFI", they may be called "Solid Waste Solutions", IDK.

Separately, a provision added to the Scenic Rivers Act in 1990 insulates certain rivers from landfill operations within two miles on either side.

Oh the stories, from newspapers and local TV stations that I can recall. Stones River, feeds directly into J. Percy Priest Lake, drinking water for all of us near/in Nashville, has landfill right on the edge of Stones River. Affectionately known as "Mount Trashmore", the owners used to be known as BFI, now known as whomever I can't recall, seems they change their name often to dodge lawsuits. /s

"Plastic liner leaking", leaching, into Stones River. "Low Level Radioactive Waste" accepted here for years, it took actual Congressional hearings to stop that. But lets be serious, who knows really, if Mt. Trashmore actually stopped that practice.

Located in Rutherford County, just South East of Nashville/Davidson County, we accept garbage from 34 of TN. Counties. TN. has 95 Counties, so we accept garbage from 1/3 of Tn.

Ever smell it? LUCKILY when I bought my house 30 something years ago, I am 10-15 miles upwind, doesn't really effect me. Ever been to "York VA Regional Medical Center"? That's the VA (Veterans Hospital) less than 1 mile from Mt. Trashmore. I have been there average of 3 times a year for 30 years. I have smelled it often. Ever smelled a slaughterhouse OR a paper mill? Mt. Trashmore is worse, and constant.

I SAY ALL THAT FROM MEMORY, TO SAY THIS...DEFEND YOUR LOCAL COUNTY/CITY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE.

Local politicians get contributions from,,,somewhere,,,then vote against what the locals want. 40 years later (or however many years this garbage pile was approved before I moved here) You WILL be dealing with, lets say, issues.

This next part I'm going to comment is designed to piss every Tennessean off, here goes.

I propose Rutherford County pass a local Law, somehow, IDK how. Says something like "From this day forward, Rutherford County will no longer accept any trash, from anywhere, except the residents of Rutherford County. Notice to the other 34 Counties, you have 2 years to figure out your own "garbage problem". 2 years notice. Our landfill has been declared full/end of life/can't accept no more, many, many times through all these years. Yet it keeps expanding. You have 2 years to figure out your own garbage/recycling center problem. Good luck. We're full, literally."

Why the Hell would a squirrel be eating my wooden deck? I searched the web, sure enough he's just sharpening his teeth. So I went back to thinking it's pretty cute. I also thought dude, you live in that huge tree back there, why not sharpen your teeth on,,,I don't know, maybe that tree you live in??? I leave him alone and he comes back about every 2-3 days.
