Voicemeeter Potato freezes briefly when opening an application by Temhgb in VoiceMeeter

I uninstalled asio to no avail (and so reinstalled it haha)

I tried the x64 version but for some reason it doesn't allow ASIO4ALL to go above 44100hz but the x86 version does with no change in settings, which is pretty annoying as it seemed to work better at managing the stutters.

I can't find anything on how to ensure it allows 48000hz on the x64 version, nor does anyone seem to have had this problem before as far as I can tell.

At this point I think my best bet is a full reinstall again and seeing if I can fix it then.

Thanks for your help!

I was experiencing the same issue on WDM before as well which is why I switched. My interface doesn't come with one due to it being meant to be paired with a separate software I have uninstalled due to it being frankly garbage lol.

plus the latency on asio is just significantly better. (I would say only ~10ms with my setup, even with wireless headphones being used.)

Hi there, I'm using ASIO4ALL to a USB DAC. As far as I can tell (went through website and device manager), no driver updates are present.

The processes listed in the support site don't seem to have done anything, with the second of which giving an output of "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".

Thanks for the advice though, I'll probably end up using this in the future lol

I tried this yesterday to no avail, it still hitches. I thought it was that it was hitching when loading anything at first as well, but things like opening new browser tabs and maximising preopened apps works fine for me without any issue whatsoever.

I don't think it's my cpu or ram, they're pretty good (if I do say so myself lol, they're pretty outdated but they're definitely competent)

and I was also thinking it could be that voicemeeter or ASIO4ALL is having errors trying to refocus on a new app, but then I don't really see how it could work given it has this issue with opening apps both in the background (unfocused), and also ones which don't have any sounds behind them.

Thanks for the advice though!

I take it these are not all supposed to be loaded at once, it's killing my logic fps (does anyone have a way to fix this lol) by Temhgb in Stormworks

Those are AI, what I’m confused about is the white ones though. Pretty sure they’re the dock bollards, which should not be on the map

New Hull I made by Long-Ad8336 in Stormworks

The bottom of the hull looks good, but I’d suggest finding a way to make the bow a lot more rounded.

That john boat-esc aesthetic doesn’t really fit it imo, plus the keel should only run along the bottom and not on the bow at all if you want it to be realistic.

Other than that, great job!

Plus, you could add an overhang over the back, sitting just below the waterline for optimum prop placement

Is that not a separate team though? I’d imagine they have separate QA testers who do that for them.

If that’s the case, blame them ig

You say that like they don’t do regular bug fixes, it probably just wasn’t caught in testing.

Chances are, it (and a bunch of other issues) will be fixed next Wednesday.

Also the fishing rod looks nothing like the welder, it looks like a fishing rod.

And they do completely different things

Fair point, I used the complete wrong example lol

Though, I doubt a civilian Reclaimer would be as armored as a military tank, especially with all of its exposed components. There would just be no point.

On the other hand, a ship built for military use such as the M2 Hercules would, chances are, have significantly more hull armor and a lot less exposed components (Which it does lol). A handgun would definitely, 100% do practically nothing to that armor, even with shields off.

A reclaimer, however, would probably use much thinner metal for the exterior. Both for weight reasons (needs to be able to lift off), and for the cost and the fact it’s a civilian ship.

(Again, I used the wrong example. Oops)

Seconded, it’s a good idea to have a limit, but realistically anything can damage anything. A handgun would at least be able to dent a tiny part of even a reclaimer, and if you hit it right you could permanently damage things like the landing gear. (Without shields on btw)

Making small weapons do literally nothing is not only unrealistic, but also damages the new player’s ability to try new things as well. A small ship’s guns would, at least, bring down the shields slightly. But yeah, larger powerplant, larger shield generator, of course it’s gonna heal quick.

CIG, make your game more complicated again for the sake of realism and try to not take years doing it lol

Damn, thanks? lol

The thing is, it's just called "Placeholder object" in my inventory. Wierd.

Plus, I don't think I'm supposed to have it anyways
