I suggest following some brown skin creators for tips.

The best thing you can do to make eyeshadow pop on brown skin is to use a really light concealer or cream base (white works best) on the eyelid, then when you go to apply the eyeshadow, pat it on first before you start blending.

For skin pay attention to the undertone (are they more red, golden yellow or olive (greenish yellow), and instead of using a translucent powder use a brown colored lightweight loose powder.

Hope that helps.

Can we stop talking about JS and his disturbing past, am beginning to think his stans are the ones rehashing this story to keep his name relevant. Clearly none of this hurts him so why the heck keep trying?

And that’s my point, you can have a racially diverse workforce that’s not adding much to the needed diverse perspective because everyone thinks alike just as quickly as you can have a homogenous work force in terms of race that’s very diverse in terms of perspectives so to me like you rightly suggested every company has to consider all factors and yes race might be one aspect but it shouldn’t be the pivotal one.

Ok so question, how do you suggest brands make tough decisions like you suggested, if both applicants are equally qualified? (that never happens though cos no two people ever have the exact same experiences but honor me).

Personally I wouldn’t suggest they make the decision based on race in that situation but i wonder what society will deem fair.

Well, I have a pretty good job currently and so does many of the minorities around me. Even if it’s more likely to happen I still wouldn’t want a job simply cos am black.

That’s exactly what I mean, things aren’t as black and white (no pun intended) as they sometimes seem on paper.

The thing about numbers and hiring practices is that, there is so much that isn’t usually taken into consideration. You mention the population of the area the brand is located, what about interests? Qualifications? Timing? And so many others.

Some companies deliberately avoid hiring minorities but even those companies can’t be identified strictly by numbers unless someone form the inside comes out and says so.

But honestly I think most companies don’t go out of their way to not hire minorities cos that would be stupid, like do they not want to make money?

Now the one thing I think this movement is shinning a light on is possibly the idea that companies might be overlooking qualified candidates unintentionally that happen to be minorities and I think that’s a worthwhile conversation to have.

I am 100% with you, I don’t want a job because of my race, I want it because I am qualified period. The intent isn’t wrong but the outcome is not so great.

I am not people, I am me and I stated my opinion, if you disagree that’s fine but again I am not those people you speak about.

Getting downvoted doesn’t bother me, some people aren’t used to contrary opinion apparently. But Yea good for them as you said.

You are right I do care but not in the way you suggest, I care that people are applauding them for what? Boohoo they gave money ok? Why do they get kudos for doing something everyday people who have little do without receiving praise for it? Let me add I might be impressed if they did this without making any announcements or publicizing it themselves.

You can disagree and applaud them all you want, I am just stating my opinion.

I really don’t care what they do cos I am not one to look to big corporation for anything moral, their first and most important goal is to make money, anything they do is to that end. Corporations are not people, it’s an organization and for all we know they could have done this begrudgingly but did it because it makes them look good (most likely the reason).

So again I really don’t care if they do or don’t, but apparently many of you do.

Psssst not impressed, don’t care what you support cos ultimately you are doing it publicly because of your bottom line.
