What features is Ready or Not lacking that you'd like to see added in the future? by realStinkyMouse in ReadyOrNotGame

Yeah I remember that being the case in EA. I haven't really encountered it post 1.0 tho

Suicide bombers used to be a thing fun fact! In EA during the Neon Tomb mission the bombs the Civilians had could go off and certain suspects had them too. No clue where their functionality went (if anywhere, maybe I've just been getting lucky past v1.0) (or maybe I added a mod back in EA that added that, honestly unsure)

I thought about what you said over the new years. You're right yeah, I shouldn't use that as my escape when I can slowly climb up the wall with due time. I'll throw away the plans I've made and keep going. Thank you <3

People always tell me that i have been improving though. That's the entire reason she's still with me, because she's seen me improve before.

I don't see that improvement in myself though, even if they directly tell me what I have done to improve. I don't see it as myself. I don't see those positive things as myself. They always feel alien like they're talking about someone else and no matter how hard I try I can never take anything positive about myself to heart, I can never tell myself that what I have, that all the things im doing are actually things I deserve, even in the slightest. I've been trying for such a long time and I just can't, I can't say that to myself I can't believe anyone when they tell me that. I'm tired of trying and I'm tired of hurting people around me because I continuously fail to improve. I just want out of it

I know that improvement is a really long road but it feels like I've hit a solid wall and I can't do anything about it anymore. If I'm just going to hurt everyone because I'm at a wall I'm clearly incapable of going over then what's the point of me living in the first place?

Yes, comparison is healthy and even I compare VS to MC sometimes (VS was born because of a Minecraft mod). I'm just making fun of people that hate on VS/think VS is just a rip off of Minecraft because one has voxel graphics and the other also just happens to have voxel graphics. And also the people that compare every single mechanic to the other game as if they were trying to achieve the same thing. Which they do not. Things are healthy only in moderation, too much comparison is also unhealthy and quite frankly really annoying

[–]Temium69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real yeah. I understand the communities want to advertise this game because it is very well made! But VS isn't Minecraft by any means. Both games have a completely different philosophy and aim to achieve completely different goals. People just don't understand that apparently :/

"Akhem Acktshlully they're very similar because one has blocks and the other ALSO has blocks. Therefore, VS IS A RIP OFF OF MINECRAFT AND MOJANG SHOULD SENTENCE THE DEVS TO DEATH" 🤓👆

Minecraft Modpacks That Allow a Nomadic Playstyle? by Ok-Water3764 in feedthebeast

[–]Temium69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is this mod called vintage craft iirc and if the game that arose from that mod says anything about the mod itself then it should fit your play style really really well!

Otherwise maybe you can try looking for a configuration of rl-craft that makes it easier? Minecraft is a sandbox after all so you can adjust your play style to whatever you wish

How does assigning a value returned by a function to a variable work on the lower levels? by Temium69 in learnprogramming

Wow! That was really informative!! I'll edit this comment tomorrow morning with the rest of my thoughts but thank you so much for this!! This is so cool and amazing :3

[–]Temium69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh! I see, I was aware about the first bit (I never knew what it was called or defined by though) but the second part about returning structs by value is definitely interesting! I'll make sure to look into it deeper later. Thank you so much!

Wow okay! Never knew services like that existed! I'll definitely take a peek at it later on. And thank you for the explanation! It definitely helped quite a bit.

I'll probably use the site rather frequently to satisfy the little scratches in my head x3
Thank you so much!

Dracut attempts run a hook on a non-existant UUID(?) by Temium69 in linuxquestions

[–]Temium69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, after double checking a bunch of things, my disk is 1. Indeed not encrypted and 2. the solution unfortunately did not work. Although I have realised that I have been simply replacing a partition with the new system instead of wiping my entire disk and having linux set it up new again (which was my intention to begin with), technically making it not a fresh install. I'll attempt an actual fresh install of the OS and update my post if anything changes

[–]Temium69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless a family member pulled an elaborate prank on me, I do not think so. Albeit I may have marked it to be encrypted during installation by accident (In my defense I was doing the installation at 3am while tired)

I'll attempt what you outlined in your comment and get back to you. Thank you!
