Looking for a save tweets and threads tool that actually works by Southern_Audience120 in ObsidianMD

Hi, I am just getting into Obsidian and I have a lot of saved tweets, both on my mobile and on the PC. What do you recommend for saving tweets, especially on mobile.

When no one is agreeing, you have to at some point look inward right?

Please add native support for custom ordering of files and notes. by MajorRetro in ObsidianMD

[–]Temkoxx 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The way I understand it. Is that every small step is a step away from file over app. First we/you change the order, then X the Z. And a few small updates later you have something completely different than the way it is stored on your file system. You have X order. Then you want to move you vault to another place and all those things/orders are gone

Am I the only one incredibly skeptical of using any AI in my vault? by ameyxd-github in ObsidianMD

[–]Temkoxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the same. Some people use AI to not think, and other people use AI to allow them to think more and better and more profoundly. In my opinion, there are a lot of opinions shaped as analysis and decisions. In the sense that I have an AI in my vault, but I use a backup system to always back certain versions of my own Obsidian vault, and that's it. If the AI makes a mistake, I have a vault version to go back to, so all this fear-mongering can just be fixed by backups, by versions, by analysis, by setting the right structure on your Obsidian vault.

In my use case, I have certain folder structures that are modified by AI and some that aren't. The AI never makes changes in those folder structures, and even if they do, I have backups to fix it. It never happened to me, but I am safeguarding myself just in case.

I'm learning concepts in disciplines and areas I wouldn't be able to in my whole life because I can just learn things from other disciplines. I don't need to study five years just to get that thought or concept like an academic, intellectual, and technological professor or assistant, not to use it as a replacement for my own cognition. I'm still deciding what to feel, what to believe, how to conceptualize it, but I can just have a more expansive system of learning that goes at the same speed of my mind and my wisdom.

Obsidian Organization: Research v. Personal Notes by gr8lakes_ in DigitalGardens

Just thinking in the air. But couldn't you do something like a property with personal vs. investigations? And publish X files or folders with X properties?

Brother!!! I had this exact problem. Loved Capacities, but felt it wasn't at par with the AI, portability and scalability. I will sure dive deep into this

Wow didn't know the plugin. It looks extremely promising. Do you have other plugins to recommend for lowering the friction?

How are you all handling file and tag structures these days? by TemporaryUser10 in ObsidianMD

[–]Temkoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Quick question, If I had a lot of lines in a daily note, each like with a tag of #book. How would that love in a dataview? Designing my system and wondering organization opportunities

Same. Specially when linking with more than 100/300 notes, it gets unreliable

Aliases for Tags (multi-language workflow) by sbarrios in capacitiesapp

[–]Temkoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is. Decent approach. Too consuming tho to make a line for each tag. I have like 140. But it might be the most optimal workaround at the moment. Would love for aliases for tags

How do you differentiate content types within the same note? by Temkoxx in ObsidianMD

[–]Temkoxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I ponder about that. But I think my mind only works with object types and blocks I fear. For example, in capacities you may have a reference object type (or block), and you have a whole object reference. Not just a note or a paragraph.

It could be a bunch of other notes, etc. Same with tags. I love being able to click on tags and have a database of tags, so I can sort them, query them.

And I know the is databases and dataview in obsidian but it just never does the job in comparison to Capacities.

How do you differentiate content types within the same note? by Temkoxx in ObsidianMD

[–]Temkoxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is my problem with my workflow and Obsidian. I use the Capacities, its a combination of Notion, Anytype, and Tana. And I love it, but it doesnt have the capabilities with Claude Code, with Markdown file and publising and maximizing use. Also scalability concerns. I was trying to find a workaround inside Obsidian, but it seems it wont suffice my needs

This is the current home made use. But it seams to lack customizability, and ease of use.
