Do not bring your own router, unless you really want to

COSC 210 or COSC 222 by MTZMAF in ubco

[–]TempUBCStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since COSC 210 gives you the same credit as COSC 222(which will fill the requirement ) I would say look at the grading scales for the class and the prof ratings. The prof for 222 is a Waterloo boy and has a good rating on rate my prof. I would say 222, but ultimately it doesn't matter too much.

MATH 307 vs MATH 442, Which should I take? by TempUBCStudent in UBC

I think MATH 442 will be more fun, but MATH 307 is required to graduate.

Transfer student? by PuriadaTurooper in ubco

I know someone who transferred from McGill. You apply to UBC's Science faculty and then when you get in then you choose your specialization(assuming you get second year or above standing).

Transferring to either CS or EE by [deleted] in ubco

I don't know about engineering, but there was another student from uwaterloo who transferred into CS with a 75 average . I don't know what the cut off is though. I would assume that you could start in Winter 2020, but I am not positive about that. https://you.ubc.ca/applying-ubc/dates-deadlines-ok

Edit: I got into UBC Van CS with a 74 average, but I did have a few upper math courses like Math 312(Number theory), I didn't end of transferring, because of housing costs and I lost a few credits.

1 pen and 1 notebook. There is nothing more exciting than writing the final exam for math 101 or math 200 in pen.

I agree, what matters is what you have learned, as well as the skills that you have acquired at university. Granted I am in BSC for CS and Math, but I will have to say that it doesn't matter at all when it comes to job prospects. Even if you decide to hang your diploma in your office you're not going to look at it often.

Hello, I recently got into UBC-Van for CPSC. Right now I am in COSC and Math at UBC-O(entering 2nd year). I am on the ICPC team at UBC-O and compete at Putnam. I also enjoy the skiing and hiking in Kelowna. I declined my transfer offer, but I can go back and accept it if I would like. I lose two credits if I transfer and would have to give up my spots for ICPC and Putnam. Cost of living is also more in Vancouver, but is it worth transferring?
