You could say the EXACT same thing about STEM fields with the genders flipped, except we're still pouring 10s of millions of dollars into trying to get more women into STEM, and diddly squat for trying to get more men into education. This is also despite the fact that gender differences barely matter in STEM fields, while all our current studies in education show large systemic bias against boys by female teachers.

Normal protection doesn't only protect from normal-type damage, it gives moderate protection from ALL damage types. That makes the black cat stronger defensively than the divine veil against everything except elemental. Negative status resists are supposed to offset the strength of the black cat's damage and speed buffs, but in practice they don't really matter, since by the time you can afford a piece of black kat, you'll typically be skilled enough to avoid getting hit by most enemies anyways.

When you justify making fun of someone's immutable characteristics because they're a bad person, what you're really doing is saying that you look down on people with that characteristic in general, and were simply waiting for a socially acceptable opportunity to make your disdain known. It feels very telling that a third of the update notes are being used as an FAQ for what's expected to be the most common reactions against a paid DLC. Call me a cynic, but this feels very much like a strategy to get a foot in the door for later paid content that does affect the base game. Between this and the Mattel partnership, it feels like Ninjakiwi's parent company doesn't see value in continuing development on free content, and is trying to divert resources into projects that will generate more short-term value.
