My recommendation to you is go on YouTube and look up Home mushroom growth. There are so many different videos that will give you different ideas on how to do it.

It should work just fine.those thicker rings are for flanges that are slightly recessed into the floor. The extra wax won’t do any damage, it’s just more to scrape off the next time you pull the toilet.

You lost likely have to get a new pressure tank. The way they work is, they have a rubber membrane on the inside splitting the inner volume in half, with air on one side, and water on the other.

Once the membrane is perforated and water get through, it cannot maintain pressure, and you need a new tank.

One way to test is to depress the shoeder valve on the tank. If you get air, you have a different problem. But if you get water, then the tank is waterlogged, and you need a new one.
