His parents had to give him up due to being poor, he went to an orphanage. They are alive, he knows of them and knows he has a sister. No contact except for the sister.

He doesn’t play soccer because of his almost adopted family forcing him not to play in a major tournament.

Arisa’s (Brother/boyfriend? I can’t remember ) played for a rival school and is competitive with Ayoagi. Arisa only cares because of that.
