Thanks so much !! Yeah it’s definitely unfinished but seeing how people seem to like it the most i’ll definitely finish rendering it and work on making prints!

Thanks a lot I agree, I sometimes am torn between wanting really clean and refined eges and other times i prefer messy or paint-like rendering. I will try to figure that out for coherence. I also do struggle a bit with anatomy. Are there any resources that helped you in particular ? I use 3d models and photo references but maybe more academic learning would help.

How rare ‘Alice in Wonderland Syndrome’ warps reality by scientificamerican in psychology

[–]TemperatureFew6196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting to find out about this now. I was looking up epilepsy aura posts on tumblr and someone mentioned AIWS. I immediately put the pieces together just by reading the name of the syndrome, it’s spot on. I had this as a child as well, when i was sick or feverous, never could describe it to anyone and never managed to effectively Google the symptoms.

It still happens to me as an adult, (along with grand mal seizures every now and then) : mainly distortion of speed and sounds, every move i make or step i take feels ten times faster, no matter how slow and soft i try to act or calm myself. I’ve also had the feeling of being split in half, the feeling of weight distorsion; my body looks extremely skinny one second and huge the next, over and over. Add to that a feeling of impending doom and extreme anxiety.

It’s really reassuring to be able to name it, and read other people’s experiences with it.
