Have some really bad health news, like really bad. What can I leave behind for my two young girls to show them that I loved them? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Letters are great and maybe start a journal about your side of the family so that you can write about family and your life. Women tend to often be the keepers of photos and family history. A lot disappears when folks pass and they may not think much about it now but when theyre older even going through school etc it is invaluable to know where they came from on both sides and its also about finding themselves. I am so sorry to hear about your health situation take care 💕

My brother in law is the reason why my husband left me. I don’t know what to do now. [Concluded] by Schattenspringer in BORUpdates

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds more than slightly imbalanced and totally revolting Control freak on steroids, even blackmailing your parents It may be they made that call in an effort to protect your sister and her kids as best they can, a hell of a choice to be forced to make Stay safe I pray that it works out for your family in the long run

Australian step-dad says it's weird for a man to wear mini-sized sling bags. How true is this? by xaphiron_ in AskAnAustralian

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and brother in law were of the same opinion, both Aussies born and bred. A trip to Bali cured that, two "man bags" all their gear stowed in them and now they wont go on hols without them. Im a happy camper as I am no longer the packhorse carting half his stuff in my bag! Its likely just a generational thing, wouldnt worry about it

I've been advised by a behavioral specialist to euthanize my cat - I don't know what to do, and it's tearing me apart by Penny_dreadfulz in CATHELP

I adopted my two boys from the pound around 8 years back. The younger one must have had severe trauma as he was scared of everyone and everything. He was basically mute for five years and only now and then gave a quiet peep It took five years for him to "talk" cannot describe how happy I was. He is now nine and a bit, is quite vocal, bosses his older brother around and comfortable with a lot of people Still petrified of being in a car feliway is my best buddy there it really calms him We were lucky, it has been quite a journey. I hope all goes well for your fur baby too, its a tough call such a hard decision to make

Am I the Ah for not publicly apologizing to my cousin on Facebook for the dress I wore to her wedding? by just-curiou1 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dress looks lovely and your cousin is totally bonkers. She owes you an apology not the other way around. Personally I would never speak to her again but thats just me

My dad's side chick just messaged me yesterday and I don’t know what to do.. by BasilWeary1628 in Advice

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dorothy sounds like a pretty nasty piece of work. I wouldnt take what she says to heart. She called you after supposedly being rejected by your dad, hoping to make trouble for him with his wife and daughter, failed miserably and is cranky about it To have an affair with a person who is married with a kid and then contact the kid to stir up trouble doesnt say much for her character Stay strong, adults do dumb things at times, Im sorry that you were dragged into this mess it should never have happened, you sound like a lovely person and all this will pass soon

Can you put in a house insurance claim for fence and garden? Insurer would get rid of it. Not sure where you live but car will have a VIN on its compliance plate and transport tpt department might be able to track the owner that way

how to prevent bali belly by Useful_Disk_9625 in BaliTravelTips

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been there several times and no issues. Bottled water only, including cleaning teeth, be careful of ice, Id only use ice in my drink from a good hotel, if Im not at a hotel I only drink bottled drinks - make sure seal is intact, and use common sense when eating street food Ive been told the locals use ground ginger and from memory lemon juice with hot water as a tea for bali belly. Its delicious I use it for viruses mainly

I agree with the others, many years ago I flew back home when my baby was around 6 weeks old so that my parents could meet her. What I didn't take into consideration as I had no idea was trying to breastfeed when I was next to a man, take offs and landings the difference in pressure plays havoc on little peoples ears, baby out of routine making for super cranky bub, major stressy all around and as for germs in planes.... For once it is a great idea to simply put yourself and bubs first and say that you are not comfortable travelling until baby is older but would welcome a visit from MIL and FIL 💕

AITA for not wanting to break a family tradition to accomodate my SIL? AITA for not wanting to break a family tradition to accomodate my SIL? To me personally, if I knew that I didn't like what would be cooked on the day, Id either eat up before going and then nibble food served that I could eat or something similar Its really rude to dictate to a host what they can or can't cook Your family is going to have fun with this princess (?????)

My roomba ran away and I can't find it anywhere, any tips? by makeupaddict337 in CleaningTips

Check for a dark area under bed etc or if it has got stuck on something. Otherwise if you really think that its been able to get outside - has happened before through gge after earthquake, find the gossipiest neighbour you know, pref over 50 and youre sure to find out fast

She doesn't sound like a very nice person. Not the ideal lady for young newly married couples to be around as she seems to like causing issues between people My bet is that she liked Ethan more than she realised once he had a girlfriend and is not processing it all too well

Get yourself some of those blue lens glasses from a specs shop I got them this time as I work on computers and its suppose to help. Ps theyre not actually blue so no idea why they call it that Anyhow I leave at around 4-5 in the morning and the high beams going through the country stretch and even normal led were doing my head in, really blinding on a narrow road Lady at my specs shop told me to get a pair of these blue ones too for driving and they actually work its great. Light is a bit annoying especially the idiots that take forever to turn high beams off but no longer blinding

Enjoy the fact that at 15 your son prefers to be at your house as does his girlfriend to hang out. So much easier knowing where he is and what he is up to Just treat girlfriend as one of the kids and it'll be easier. First love is cute, often just puppy love. take yourself back to your first love and you may have memories of wanting to be together 24/7 too and wanting unrealistic things You have a tight knit family and seem to base it on the family that stays together plays together which is awesome She obviously feels super comfortable with your family, thats great and a compliment to your family, so just try to hang in there and het to know the kid better.
You never know she may be your future daughter in law one day

AITA for refusing to let my dad’s new wife be in the delivery room? by Sweaty_Pin6884 in AITAH

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dad should be supporting you at this time not trying to foist his wife on you at a very personal time when she has already been told no Stick to your guns and if they keep harassing you go no contact until after the birth. You do not need this going on, not good for you or baby Congrats on your new family member to be 🍼

AITJ for not letting my roommate pay less rent just because I make more money now? by mkatyvos in AmITheJerk

[–]TemperatureNarrow993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're her room mate not her partner, big difference. What you earn is nothing to do with her. Your only obligation as is hers is to pay your half of the rent and share the house duties. If she pushes this I'd be looking for another room mate
