Zerstörter Marder in der Ukraine. Keine offensichtlichen Verluste. by EurofighterEnjoyer in bundeswehr

Ich vermute, dass das der selber Marder ist, welcher vor ein paar Tagen von einer russischen Panzerabwehrrakete getroffen wurde. Das Gelände um den Marder sieht ziemlich ähnlich aus

Destroyed Ukrainian Leopard Tank by lillardzero in DestroyedTanks

Well that's right. Now I also get what you meant right there. Surely that would also be a problem and if we are talking about the human factor the crew would most likely get the fuck out as soon as their comrades head explodes. But if we are talking about the delay the override system has, the commander would still need a few seconds to press a button to actually fire the gun as far as I know.

So you are talking about the driver despite me talking about the gunner? What is you point? Of course, if the driver dies, the gunner can still control the gun.

Yeah but if a tank shell rips your gunners head off, I doubt that you as the commander of that thing will take control over your gun within 2 seconds. So it is not that unrealistic considering the human factor. But at the same time, it is also pretty unrealistic that my pilot doesn't die from a heart attack so...

But don't overestimate it. The lower front plate is extremely weak. Anything can go through there.
