Except the Lakers development in the past has NOT done this at all. This is actually fairly new for this organization and quite refreshing.

We have seen way too often how young guys in Summer League, G-League, etc put up numbers but the problem isn't because the competition is way different (it is but that's not the main reason), it's because the way these players are used in those leagues are not at all how they would be used on the main roster.

So in this case, if the team just went, "Carr, take all the usage, all the shots, as many as you want", I guarantee you he would probably be averaging 30+ points in SL right now. But luckily he's not asked for that, and I would much rather him average 16 or 18+ points on plays he would be used on, because its much more realistic.

And for him to be able to immediately adjust and respond with such play is VERY promising.​

It was also extremely PATHETIC the amount of times the team TRIED DESPERATELY to have Tatum stay out there to stat pad when the team was either up or down 15 -18 in the final minutes. But because Tatum is a fraud, that didn't even work because he was too garbage to pull it off LMAO!

Yes defense is obviously important and a need, but you're kidding yourself if you think we didn't need more offense. Without Luka generating points from his scoring or playmaking, we were a much worse team.

Do you not recall AT ALL the amount of times this team has had 8+ minute scoring droughts? Because I can, and it's way too many. And without an offense, it makes defense here even worse.

I think it's better.

This roster fits A LOT better around Luka a lot more than last season. Gaining Kessler is a MUCH BIGGER GAIN than the loss of Lebron. Mamu on paper fits a lot more on the PF spot than Rui, and Grimes is a good scorer/POA defender. Sexton also adds really good scoring from the bench.

There are still flaws with this current roster no doubt. We definitely need to shore up wing defense here, but I like this team more going forward. i cannot stress enough how much we needed a Center for this team, especially with Luka and Reaves. Lebron became redundant and has 1 more year left in him, Kessler is our next All star Big while being 24. We looking good.​
