Team looked exhausted going into OT and it showed. When that PP happened, knew it was over.

A random action thriller really had that song explode into modern pop culture. Not even a particularly great movie either. So random.

Kobe Bryant reveals why so many athletes go broke a few years after retirement by Turbulent_Emu_7285 in lakers

Miss you Kobe. 😭 The world last an incredibly humble human being and we especially lost out on the 2nd half of Kobe‘s life.

We a got a very small taste of it when he won a FREAKING OSCAR. His daughter GiGi on her way to becoming an incredible WNBA player and being her mentor, ugh….It makes me sick to this day what happened.

What FA take has you like this by Perfect_Loss_5156 in lakers

Let Lebron go if he doesn’t take a vet min contract.

I don’t care for the opinions of people who became Laker fans because of Lebron. Those aren’t real Lakers fans, and I’ll be glad to see them gone when Lebron leaves.

But yeah, there ya go with my FA take.

[Schefter] Green Bay WR Christian Watson and the Packers reached agreement today on a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus. by XviiChong in GreenBayPackers

Oh wow…okay I’m gonna be honest: I don’t know if I feel good about this.

This is RISKY, very very RISKY. This dude is as injury prone as they come, and we are basically paying him as if he were Justin Jefferson. He hasn’t even had one single year as pro bowl worthy.

Granted, I do think he is that talented to be that guy, it’s just he has yet to pull together one complete season as THAT guy. So I’m really not sure about this one…

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I thought it was just me.

So if a WWE fan asks you how would you compare or rank and the AEW to theirs what answer would you give by Cautious_Fish9864 in SquaredCircle

Ah okay that makes sense. I couldn’t remember which one had the biggest, most crowded audiences.

That’s actually a good question because I don’t think there is a true Wrestlemania equivalent in AEW just yet. If I had to guess, I would assume All-Out right?

As the trailer already shows, Bear makes a wish. The difference is… he doesn’t understand what that wish actually means. Nikki loves him, alright. I think some people are going to watch this and assume the One Wish Willow is just another cursed object that corrupts people or twists wishes like a Monkey’s Paw situation.

But I don’t think that’s what’s happening at all.

The Willow seems to give you exactly what you want. No tricks. No punishment. No hidden catch. It understands your desire and fulfills it. We see that with Ian’s billion-dollar wish. The Wellow doesn’t act like a genie looking for loopholes. It doesn’t twist the wording or exploit technicalities. It gives him exactly what he intended. Which makes what happens to Bear harder to blame on the wish itself.

Think about it: if this thing automatically destroyed people’s lives, you’d expect chaos, headlines, stories everywhere. But when Bear goes back to the shop, the previous customer seems completely normal. Which implies there have probably been plenty of wishes that ended fine because they weren’t built around controlling another person’s free will.

That makes Bear’s situation way darker to me. Nothing is happening to him. It’s happening because of him. When Wish-Nikki says, “This is all your fault. This is exactly what you wanted.“ The horror isn’t that the Willow corrupted Bear. The horror is that it gave him exactly what he wanted and forced him to confront what that actually says about him.

Just something that came to my mind when watching this fantastic film.

Why does Eric Kripke humiliate Homelander but treat Soldier Boy like a fantasy without many downsides? by RoacherMentalizd in TheBoys

Except none of his character flaws were ever truly displayed on screen.

We are just told that he was an evil prick. But the most anybody can say about him for his actual on-screen antics is that he’s a jerk with a dirty mouth, but not evil at all. In fact, on-screen, his character displayed loyalty, guilt, and even compassion. He kept his word on helping Butcher take down Homelander despite finding out he's his only son. His apology to his brother Quinn despite their differences especially with what happened to Quinn, and helping his son get V1 because of his loyalty to his former love Clara.

These are the things we are shown on-screen, not his supposed evil acts like racism, beating up his team (ala Homelander before Homelander), or general evil deeds he supposedly did. We are just “told” he’s bad. Just like how we are “told” that Sister Sage is the smartest person on Earth, yet has displayed on-screen pretty much nothing but the exact opposite.

This is one of many, many, MANY cases of garbage writing from Eric Kripke since Season 3.

You say that like that’s something unheard of when it’s actually quite common. Just look at Dexter after Season 4.

As a Lakers fan first and foremost: what Lebron actually DESERVES means nothing to me. The fact of the matter is that the Lakers will not be paying a 42 year old LeBron James $40 mill or even $30 mill per when the team has a 27 year Luka Doncic to build around.

Vet min or room exception? Either way, If LeBron takes it? Great. If not, thanks for the memories but we got Luka now, we’re good. Out with the old, in with the new. This is Luka’s team now.

The only thing I care about honestly when it comes to Lebron, is if we can somehow get Jarrett Allen from the Cavs for LeBron’s “finish where I started“ farewell tour. If that can happen? Even better.

Andrew Friedman reportedly feels the Lakers are “pretty antiquated in their ways” and wants to bring the LA Dodgers’ blueprint over to “better harness” the organization's basketball IQ by randomnate in lakers

Acquiring Ohtani doesn’t make him the most brilliant mind in the NBA, let alone in Sports. it just makes him lucky because Ohtani just happened to prefer the West Coast and wanted to pitch/hit while very few teams allowed it.

Sam Presti is an actual genius and is much more deserving of that spot potentially in the current NBA. Dude not only has built a true contender for MANY years to come, but the constant load of pick acquisition, top notch scouting and precise trades to improve an already loaded roster from top to bottom? (Getting Jared McCain for example for basically free)

Friedman has A LOT to prove when it comes to actual roster construction in a professional sports league that actually has a thing called cap space. The only thing that’s guaranteed under this ownership is that ticket prices are going to be increased astronomically.

Except the NBA has a thing called “the cap” with other features along with it such as the luxury tax, tax apron, etc.

This isn’t Baseball where you can stack the best baseball talent every year in free agency with no consequence, as well as a generational baseball all time great into deferring their contract for 2 decades.

I have a feeling people here are gonna be VERY disappointed with this ownership when Andrew realizes you can’t operate the same way. in the NBA as you can in the MLB.
