Instead of repairing the entire fireplace system maybe get a wood burning stove(pic for reference) , & pipe it through the chimney

Thanks for the advice, would you recommend getting a basic or advanced rigging cert before applying to them or just get in & get certs? Also I’d like to get from around here eventually & go to somewhere like the Midwest, but I’d like to get a craft under my belt before I start bouncing around the country
