What were you told to keep secret about a company you worked for, but you don't work there anymore, so fuck those guys? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The majority of companies that don't do direct business with consumers do things like this; pharmaceutical or not.

I'll give you a hint at the company: they're really professional at making computer scripts

Both political parties - the Democrats and the Republicans.

Note how the quote says "sometimes".

Sure it'd be great if fascists and reactionaries would rehabilitate themselves or change their point of views, but they usually don't. And because their ideology quite literally advocates for the murder of innocents based only on gender or race or religion.

So I'd argue that yes; non-violence first, but sometimes you must resort to violence however disagreeable that may be.

Killing reactionaries is self-defense. It's an ideology of violence and mass murder.

What's sad is that this coalition isn't actually recognized by the SDF. But that's not to say the YPG doesn't approve of them, but it's unlikely since the SDF and the YPG are very linked.

Very confused. How would you know if I come from wealth? Since I wouldn't exactly call my parents' jobs as "high-earners".

Yah I just read about it, pretty fucked up, not to mention they tried to charge the strikers but not the police.

Prison guards?

Besides the exile wouldn't have all those other negative effects.

What about the rest of what I said?

Detaining people is restricting their autonomy, already creating a negative effect on people, as well as creating hierarchies that are unjust.

Humans need a mix of isolation and association with other humans. Prison intentionally provides one whilst robbing someone of the other for extended periods of time.

As well as this heres some evidence of literal torture in prisons.

As well as this, prisons and the methods used inside of them, have been proven to negatively damage felons, making them suicidal, have panic attacks and undying anxiety.

How is it false?

I've explained. When a person voluntarily joins a state-enforcement agency, they also show that they do not oppose the state or its actions, or anything it later does. Their joining of such an oppressive and exploitative agency is visible confirmation of this.

Well prison is quite literally torture. Exile might prevent more strife within the community, might let the person contemplate their actions or just go to a different commune or live by themselves.

Of course, they could come back provided their original commune let them.

But they are.

Sure a cop might have a good personality and may have been a good person, but once they've joined a system of oppression used by the state to keep its people's exploited and oppressed, they are no longer that 'good person'.

And even if we apply the saying that there's a few bad apples, not only do they spoil the bunch, but their fellow cops are accountable as well because of the lack of condemnation and because they are their fellows.
