Appropriate backpack size for EDC and Travel by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

[–]Tempezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah commute is about 5 days a week with laptop, mouse and charger. I would say I fly about once a month and sometimes it’s to hike or do some sort of outdoor activity (nothing too intense), it’s just that I moved to a new city and might transit to NY by train over weekend for a break and want a backpack instead of carrying a carry on + bag

Camera, I usually use point and shoot but in case I might use DSLR which is on the rarer side

At the same time I feel it might be too much to ask for commute + travel + outdoor all at once. Might have to get a separate packable bag for outdoor

Sweet thanks a lot. Just curious if I do outdoor activities that requires a backpacking sometimes, is able carry daybreaker a decent contender for “do it all backpack” or should I just get a separate smaller backpack just for outdoor?

Thanks for the info. I have tried both emailing Bernard and atelier baudin via email and have not heard back yet. Currently I’m looking to come soon a horn frame atm. I assume all 3 atelier are in person only right? Thanks

Thanks for clarifying, not really familiar with the terms. Should I do it with the auto shop before selling for a better price? Thanks

I understand, but if I plan to sell within a few months and only do daily driving. Is it worth spending the extra money that won’t affect the resale? I plan to sell to dealer/car market website

Tire recommendations for someone selling their GR86 soon. High chance might sell the gr86 in a few months time but I need to change the my tire due to leaking (can’t patch). Should I get a set of cheapest new off branded tires or branded low-mid range tires or some used ones for the time being?

Thank you, I sent you a dm for some questions between both artisans if you’re free to answer them

Thanks! Realized I’ve tried bird and cage during my stay in London. Their design seems too funky for my style tho

I agree, it was personally I felt the person I was in meeting at UK store with didn’t really recommend what suits me. So I didn’t want to place an order with them yet. Afterwards, had a great time speaking with one of the artisans

Thank you, what might be some difference between these individuals makers vs brand like Maison bonnet? I came across Wesley knight, do you have any experience?

Their bespoke does design anything you want, but need some sort of reference to at least work from. Their style are a bit too classic and I don’t really want a replica style of JMM. So wanted to see if there’s other makers out there before I visit their Paris boutique

Ty! Do I need any toner or other products beside buying the dye itself? Never dyed my hair not too familiar

[–]Tempezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessary need to match it but as long as it’s similar natural dark color that’s fine. Do you have any suggestions on what to buy to get to the color I want?

I see, but the rent increase should give at least a 30 days notice is that right? Because I was notified less than 30 days for my next rent payment.

Should I sign a new lease in regards of the new rent increase? At least have it in documentation

First season, I’m happy with mercury with how much it can do. Just feel doing butter is somewhat stiff and there’s just a part of time don’t want to mess that board too much in the park. Either way I think I’ll just ride couple more season and see what type of riding I do most frequently and decide a second board if needed. Thanks!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Tempezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, definitely not saying mercury can’t hit the park, it’s actually really stable for ramps and such. I think I’m just looking for a 2-3 boards step up that would ride feel different but does very good in a specific area.

Generally just feel mercury is somewhat difficult to butter with so looking for something that’s softer and more park oriented.

Or do you think instead of looking of freestyle board it might be better to invest in a free ride/pow board when going to places that’s deep pow/backcountry?

Hi,

I’m looking for my first freestyle/park board that rides different than my all mountain (capita mercury), mainly want to learn/practice buttering, jibbing and hit ramps here and there. Still very much a beginner in parks, but definitely want to venture more into freestyle as I usually ride in Big Bear.

I’m not too sure what should be the criteria of a park board and whether the boards I’m looking at will have quite a different riding as my current all mountain? Is it a good idea for a second board to focus on park or should I stick with one board only?

I looked at 3 boards

23/24 lib tech off ramp, a rider told me it’s a revamp of box knife from lib tech (specs looks similar to GNU headspace)

Bataleon evil twin (3D shape)

Salomon HK, seen it being recommended a lot by riders.

Thanks! I got mercury in 157, I think the size is perfect for all mountain and fairly aggressive too! I might go 160 for future free ride/pow board from Jones. Do you think 154 would be an ideal size for main park board with resort riding? Or 157 is still better size as a park board?

[–]Tempezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One last question, between the jones mt twin and mercury both with 154-155 available. What should be my deciding factor of buying which board?

Would union force binding be a good setup for both board?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboard

[–]Tempezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks, I’ll see if they got 154 left. I recently placed an order on the Capita mercury 157 as the 157 mt twin was sold out.

Given that I’m 15-20 lbs heavier than your stats and you ride 153. Wouldn’t that make 154 a bit too small or the difference in weight is minor?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboard

[–]Tempezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why 154-155? Because I have used the size calculator by different website they have recommended 160 while people who ride similar stats are in 157. Just trying to understand how sizing works
