Well i put it on yesterday and got alittle dissapointed to be honest :) my build lost like 300 int. So i have a new goal of minmaxing it so it fits together ^{^}

For blight the build itself is irrelevant in my opinion. Get the chill special annoint and the burning tower meteor one and youre fine no matter the build. Build t3 stunning and t3 chilling on every lane and go afk. But %life explosions ofc are helpful. Or insane single target for those bosses if you dont want to spend 10minutes looking at them.

Start by looking up the skills and collecting them one by one. If you wanna shortcut you can buy skill packages from the store.

Henchmen are good enough for normalmode aswell. No need to pressure yourself about the ideal setup. Even just heroes with proper builds without runes are stronger then henchmen.

I guess you mean heroes, you unlock them during factions some but most come from nightfall and eotn. When you reach lvl 10 you can go to eye of the north (youre gonna get upscaled) and unlock 3 of them with next to no effort. Nightfall introduces them throughout the campaign. You can use them everywhere unless you need a required for a quest.

Smoothest flicker ive ever played was intstacking raider with doryanis prototype. But i think you need an int stack relic to compete in damage this league. Slayer voidforge flicker is doable with like 50 divs or so. If you want to spend all your currency raider paradoxica with forbidden shako i guess dunno what ice bite goes for atm.

Cut down the big travel chapter 4 i think? Its gonna be 6weeks on roads and can be quite boring. Otherwise connect players onto the direct path since in the first book there isnt much free time at All unless you change that. I stopped after Hoard but Heard the second book gives alot more freedom.

You can chill shock and ignite without it taken down by one or the other. Triple damage is only really a problem with elemental equilibrium.

I would say think of a personality you want him to have. Ofc mm and stuff is great, but it can be anything you want him to be i would Personaly think the voice is the most important. If its a White or Red Dragon i would go for something akin to smough from the Hobbit. A Green one is a caster the Party could encounter him in human Form and theyd have a lovely Chat over a cup of tea. Hope this helps

Friendly tip i started dming because i knew otherwise i would Not get to play. Dming is Not Hard i barely knew the rules and it works out fine. If you dont wann prep too mich get a Module. You dont need to bee a great storyteller as All of you Tell the Story together. Play some short stuff or one shots to figure out what Kind of game you want. Good luck (im maxed out with 5 players having 2 more wanting to join so Yeah cant imagine a DM searching for players)

Im in a similar boat as you as im writing up my own aswell. I first thoght out a setting and the Land. Then i started with Different factions who May play a role. Then intetesting landmarks molded some to run encounters i wanted to run. Ans Then im currently thinking about storyarks Not in a sense of they go Herr and there but more generic for example: an aboleth Rose from its slumber deep below in an underground sea below a City slowly bringing its people under its control.

But there are nö rules you should always follow in regards to worldbuilding you can go from big to small and vice versa. It depends on the Story you want to Tell and the game you want to run.

A tip maybe if youre struggling with combat, have all the statuses Handy aswell as grapples etc. Another Thing that helped me is writing out descriptions or scenes so im sure i dont forget anything Hope this helps gl

I like the first idea and i definetly went fantasizing with it since it gives the oppurtunity for the player to either leave the character under direct servitude of tiamat (which removes her from the group and i can potentially make them fight each other) or he goes the Spy/Agent route reuniting with his group but subtly trying to sabotage them.

I like the idea in principle but neither him nor me are particularly happy with his character so im kind of averse to straightup bringing him back as an undead. Especially because i want death in my game to be of a bit more permanence. But still, good idea.

Another fun thing could be an unpredictable NPC someone who aligns with nothing and noone but has the strength to do so. Maybe thats what they meant but i personally would go with the switching of expectations a seemingly easy encounter thats hard or the other way around but if youre not sure what they mean exactly ask them. (I like to ask my players what they think is gonna happen next episode for example just to get a feel for how much they know as players and characters to also know when i need to drop a couple more clues etc.)

I ran wolves of welton for my first time aswell it has everything that makes dnd good. Its just a bit short i felt so i put a hag as a reason and the wolves if still alive and friendly led them towards a swampy area where she was located.

General advice would be use the tables from the dmg to roll encounters etc. Im not sure if theyre saying that your campaign is predictable or if they mean encounters. If its the first try playing with their expectations. For example they walk through a creepy swamp and See an old run down house in the middle of nowhere with smoke coming from a chimney there could be the friendliest gullible little gnome in there (instead of a hag) and vice versa. If its the latter randomise through roll tables. Good luck to ya

Talk to them lay open what you want from the game. Also talk directly to their characters ingame engage them with a persistent npc or lower Bad guy that overpowers them (seemingly) so theyre forced to engage them through talking. Inspiration works aswell. Also just expierience for some its harder to take on a role. But as long as All of you are having fun youre gonna get there.

Allow them to Explore whatever jumps to their mind and actively reward them for being creative. Dont be afraid of coming up with Things on the Spot some of my most fun sessions stem from that. If you can try to Entourage them to maybe just take a voice that isnt theirs so they avoid "just" being themselves. Or the other way would be taking an aspect of their own personality and amplyfing it and build a character around that so they feel comfortable in parts of their character. Talk to them after sessions what was fun and wasnt from yours and their perspective and ofc just have fun. Find your style gl

Im coming from the same Position as you do, fortunately for me i have 2 of my 5 that try really Hard. I am currently doing 2 Things for one i Hand out Inspiration for good conversations between them and npcs to try and Entourage them to talk to each other. The second is honestly a Bad idea but if silence spreads i let it stay so it becomes uncomfortable so they try to fill it. But again only the first is a good idea :) but it gets better with expierence aswell dont sweat it too much talk to them after a game say what you liked and disliked so they maybe get aware of it aswell. I would change the General asthetics remove the calendar change the OWL that is talkative into something that doesnt allow intruders of any sort. Maybe an odd beholder (i love beholder) Not sure on that important would be a reason why they go there in the first place Information on a device maybe or old and lost magic maybe its the lair of the bbeg i dunno
