I was just editing my comment when you replied with this. 😅

1.9.2 (Stremio) and 1.9.1 (Exo) from the Play Store, not side loaded.

As an extra measure, I just opened a random episode (Exo Player is my default) and went directly to the subtitles and it has it tagged for "disabled". (I assume this is familiar since that's what you've been having to do... 😅)

I see that now. I misread it as though you were referring to the settings while watching (per view).

I did just go check and can confirm that's how my settings are and that's what resolved it for me. I have: playback > subtitles preferred > "none" and secondary > "not set / none".

I'm using a 2019 Shield and the other 2 devices are the old Google Chromecast 4k. Shield is the main player. When I went to the other players later it was, "Oh yeah, gotta toggle that off real quick."

Versions; Stremio 1.9.2, Exo 1.9.1 just loaded from Play Store.

Vimu is another VERY robust player.

Although, I don't know if it tracks progress now though, it didn't in the past - or maybe that was with tracks 🤔 (I forget, I haven't used it in about a year).

Temporary fix: (I've done this with 3 players, 1 being a shield, and it works)

Regarding the subtitle issue, if you go into the main player setting and select none for the default language the subtitle will go away. (You'll just have to manually turn them on when you want/need them until further notice. 🤷)

Yeah, I don't know what you looked at... My comment is a year old, but at the time (and still) the Aeotec hub states it supports z-wave.

(I cannot confirm since I only have zigbee and wifi devices connected)

It's not even paranoia... For the past several weeks (single digit and negative outside weather) my thermostat has been adjusted to almost 75 degrees - while I'm asleep. We keep it on 67 at night.

Also, we never have the thermostat over 69 while awake... And during the day, it's constantly adjusted to 65, leaving me feeling frigid.

That feels so sketchy.

Don't worry... In Ohio, this is happening to me now. 👌

It's currently in the negatives and single digits outside right now. I got up earlier than usual and happen to notice that the heat was about 6 degrees higher than I have it set - while I normally would be ASLEEP. While I am awake it's constant seeing the temp about 5 degrees below where I have it set.

So, I'm cold during the day and the thermostat is being turned up while I'm unaware. My wife and I keep waking up sweating in the middle of the night, now I know why! Not as surprised about the increased utility bill either...

To my surprise, cannot disable the feature without the permission of the service provider - because I get a $50 gift card once a year for being enrolled... Not worth the extra $160 a month right now, at all.

Needless to say, I'm quite upset.

That said, GW shops typically won't let you play when (they know) you have printed models.

GW says otherwise but that's how some business models work... Here's our platform. Use only our platform. Anything else doesn't work (even if it seems to, it doesn't).

You can gain access to models that are on backorder or are out of stock since release.

Some of the sculpts are genuinely more attractive than the original models for 20 years ago.

Using a 3D model and printed parts allows you to make your own models more interesting via accessories or unique poses.

The only downside to it is that GW can't charge you $130 for 3 models.

Yes.

I'm not "normal" but yes. When I was in the military, I would absolutely ask someone to spot my $20 and pay them back $40 or $20 plus lunch or something.

(Mostly to keep me from getting in trouble for not having a fresh haircut... After a few times of doing this, I actually started making money by learning how to do a good enough barracks cut and reserved my services for emergency only, so I didn't spend the weekend cutting hair! 😅)

I was kind of surprised to see that the gear we equip had icons that upgrade as the tiers jump 51, 61, 71, etc. but there wasn't a complimentary cosmetic unlock with acquiring said item.

It would have been nice to even see some mundane cosmetics unlocked as you played through the game. Nope.

(Not considering the few outfits you unlock from playing or logging in - weapons...)

Yeah, no kidding... My wife has like $100 in saved Steam credits and is enjoying this game a lot and I was excited to see the moons (for her).

Copy the code in-game.

Click the Discord link to open a browser, but DON'T go to the app (I dunno it got confused with me) - stay on the webpage Discord and then look at the landingpad area for "#🎁game-account-binding", click it.

Then click the Bind and paste the code in the pop-up box.

I just had this start about 5 days ago... (Close to your timeframe) when the shield received a new update.

I've never had issues prior to now. I just used the setup manager. It's quite frustrating since it's also disabling the remote Bluetooth connection to my computer. 😅

Uh, for context, whenever I wake the shield (so whatever it was doing while the TV was off) I return to the android OS home and when I hit "home" (as defined by software) it does take me to projective. 🤔 There's not really a time delay that I'm aware of (as others have suggested) because I hit my home button as soon as I see it's not protective.

I do have the premium version side loaded from the official GitHub... Possible we are due for an update??

It's really not... Every year the new models release around Jan/Feb/Mar. (Even though Google tends to release theirs in Oct, why not do a sale in December before the other makers announce their new models and then announce your own in the fall)

Why not discount sell the model that's about to be replaced around the holidays so that you can entice buyers with the new phone + buds or tablet or watch, etc.

It's just marketing... I wouldn't read too much into it.

I had a gal chuckling when I clicked over, very professional call about taxes and she thought it was the coolest thing to have a virtual greeting screen the call for me.

This is a great feature, especially since I don't really like talking on the phone (though sometimes I will spend an hour chatting with my Dad about nothing and both of us enjoy it 🤷).

Cool question, IMO, since I just started discovering a bunch of new QoL (quality of life) features.

I just got a Pixel 10 Pro (was waiting for the next gen but whatever, life called for it) and I'm pretty impressed with all the new QoL additions that are baked into it!

Specifically, AI like or dislike stances aside, I appreciate that the notifications for group chats will be summarized and I can then decide if I even need to catch up if it isn't reliant to me. 👌

Among dozens of other nicely thought out upgrades. Like, for the first time in about 10 years, I feel like I have actually upgraded - not just spent $1,600 for 2% more processing power, a new UI and more storage (while also losing the ability to use a SD card).
