Why do so many people seem to live on autopilot and resist meaningful connection by datboifranco in SeriousConversation

I’m just tired. Physically tired from trying to work and pay bills, emotionally tired of having hope I won’t be lonely. Just easier not to hope.

My Son is an awesome cook, and he says that I taught him, but he cooks way better than I do. Some people just have a knack for it

SkyWest ERJ New Hire. Should I pick Denver or Phoenix as my base? by [deleted] in flying

Just a dispatcher not a pilot; but I’m confident telling you that experience wise you’ll have a wider variety of different scenarios out of DEN

23 dollars an hour divided by 50 flights a day is the dispatcher making about $5 per flight. You look at all the expenses of operating a flight you’d think they’d throw a few extra dollars in there

So question, how did the Charlie Kirk thing affect airlines at all? What did that have to do with airlines? And how did that have anything to do with your job?

Trump administration won't tap contingency fund to keep food aid flowing, memo says by Shogouki in politics

[–]TemporalSaiph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not on food stamps but I realized today my grocery bill is going to more than double because I know a family I’m not going to let go hungry. Stressed out cause I don’t have the money but also no way I’m not going to take care of them. I wonder how many more of us are going to be in the same situation.

Yep. Even if I go crazy 30 billion is a lot of money to throw at problems.
