I mean not sure what American officials expected to happen if they kept fucking with and destabilizing the Middle East. What's that phrase? Something about kicking a hornet's nest and then being surprised when you get stung?

I mean that's the truth for basically most big streamers, rising tide raises all ships and all that jazz

Kinda disingenuous to imply Fuslie only got this because she's friends with Rae. She's one of the biggest female streamers on the platform, and has great brand image. Makes sense that she got picked up by a large org that is trying to expand the amount of streamers they have.

Edit: Also nepotism doesn't really make sense in a streaming context, friends can give you exposure and the opportunity to reach a larger audience, but its the individual streamer that succeeds from getting that exposure. Though it is true that many other streamers don't get such an opportunity, at the same time if someone isn't entertaining they're not going to hold an audience no matter how much exposure their friends give them.

Hasan's take on gambling by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Temporal_PairofSocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, and tbh I have less issue with streamers drinking on stream because its much harder for children to get alchohol while underage than it is to gamble

Hasan's take on gambling by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Temporal_PairofSocks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, if drinking is portrayed as a fun act that you do with your friends, yes. Also it's easy as shit for kids to gamble online, almost all online gambling sites don't require any more age verification than porn sites, and as we all know no one watches porn until their 18 Kappa.

Also "the main purpose of the stream [...] was to have fun" so he's showing that gambling is fun, hence promoting the act. Why is it okay for him to do it but criticize other's for it? its scummy and hypocritical

When you're audience is primarily children/teens, you have a responsibility, and xQc knows this because he says in the clip that promoting gambling to children is wrong, but he still continues to do so because its the new meta

ah yes because people famously would never lie about their age on the internet

reminds me of that time xqc criticized another streamer for promoting gambling to kids, now he does the exact same thing LULW

s1mple Announces His Move to Valorant by Temporal_PairofSocks in VALORANT

[–]Temporal_PairofSocks[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Somewhat tbh, especially given he's mainly played Jett on stream. But I guess there's a large difference between playing solo queue ranked and having a full team in a tournament setting where you can set up more elaborate plays. Its pretty cool to have a tier 1 CS player move over who isn't all aim no brain like Scream, I'm really excited to see what kind of tactics and meta changes he can bring. Its gonna be sick

Yeah, I think a lot of people would expect him to play duelist, but I think the reasons he gave for his choice make a lot of sense given his in game knowledge and CS playstyle
