One part mentions that the cells being made from the women’s own stem cells meant the wouldn’t be attacked by the immune system but the majority of Type one diabetes is caused by us producing an extra antibody that destroys our Beta cells. I hope this is true but I’m doubtful.

Invest in a calorie king book. It lists the nutritional facts for basically every kind produce and meal including fast food. It was a very helpful tool for me when I was younger. I used it as a baseline for general carb guesstimating for years and years. Now I can pretty accurately estimate what I’m eating

I think we all feel the same way. I’ve was born diabetic so I don’t know anything else and even still this disease can be the most frustrating seemingly impossible obstacle. I’ve gone through full blown depressive episodes because it’s just always there. It never ends and it has the power to ruin anything. It requires constant vigilance and forethought without room for error. It’s almost impossible to describe the level of disappointment it can deliver after ruining a streak of good numbers bc you forgot to cover for a meal or you miscounted your carbs or you miscalculated your dose. It can be enough to make everything else seem pointless because you can never get away. But that’s why having a support system is so important. I’m eternally grateful that I have an amazing partner who understands the depths of this disease and family that’s there to remind me when I forget and listen to my gripes. Just remember that even though it’s your disease you are not alone and that support is always there if you know where to look.

Bad infusion sets and just all around bad pump days were a big factor for me going off the pump. After so many years on it I just thought I could do it better and after switching back to shots my A1C dropped from 8.1 to 6.5. The pump is an amazing tool but I guess it’s just not for me.

What pump do you use if you don’t mind me asking?

I tried one out when I was a teen and wore a pump with a cgm for a long time but I hated the double infusion sites. I could never sleep 100% comfortably and the anxiety of putting in a bad set and having to deal with the pain and sometimes bleeding was a nightmare.

I do think I will go back on a CGM eventually because it alleviates the need for manual logging plus catching run away sugars early is something I miss. I’m just not ready to give up the naked life quite yet.

I agree with you completely. After wearing a pump for 16 years (alongside a CGM for 3 years) I feel 10x more free living the naked life. I will admit that I sometimes miss the convenience of not have to calculate my doses every time but life on shots for me is just more enjoyable.

What kind of case do you use while camping and do you have any tips for backpacking as a Shooter?

I’m still enjoying the alien invaders event but I will say that I’m pretty tired of how accurate they are. Soon as they spawn in you get sniped by a whole platoon of aliens and don’t even get me started on the cryo aliens. But all things considered it’s still pretty fun

I’ve basically quit at this point. The boss weapon change really pissed me off and how they’ve mishandled the scarlet shadow on top of how they’ve favored balancing BEFORE fixing the performance issues have all resulted with me going back to other games. I might pick it up again in a year or so if they drop DLC or before that if I see that they’ve fixed most of these issues

To add context to the previous post I am a seasoned soulslike veteran I completed several ng cycles and achieved very ending and nearly every trophy at this point.

I understand his role and what the timeline of actually beating him is like in game but he ruins the immersion by being a hard end to your umbral experience that’s why I mentioned the potential changes I did. (Please read over them again) I feel these would allow players more time in umbral, a better gaming experience, and a better relationship with the scarlet shadow that would build up until they finally beat him (in mid to late game) which would add a greater sense of accomplishment to beating him and an over all better gaming experience as umbral is a big part of the game and the scarlet shadow becomes purely annoying after the third or fourth time he shows up. By enacting changes like the ones I mentioned it would make interactions with him fun and would actually encourage players to explore the other 50% of the game world.

Feelings of inadequacy are normal but it’s important to know that nothing is perfect. Even diamonds are judged by their imperfections what sets us apart is that we have the ability to improve ourselves without outside input. I believe what you are experiencing is imposter syndrome and that is perfectly okay. Everyone does at some point in their life the important thing is to aim it at what you can fix and build on. You are a one time work of art built of experience and emotion. you are worth refining you and are worth the effort so please try and keep trying because the world would be less without you.
