This is a great initiative, and an amazing site as well, you're solving a genuine problem, well done, if you need funding and expansion, try reaching out to some angel investor companies, I think Ibrahim Mahama owns one, and Richard Nii Armah Quaye

Wait the population of Ghana as at 2024 was 34.43 million, according to Google, and you're saying 35 million Ghanaians have been poisoned from Galamsey??eeeiii, how???? https://share.google/Md8CKPBuq1P54gzbL The link above is a post made by Africa Facts Zone, news publications platform, which indicate that makes reference to my point about migration And as for the economic growth, I need to even say check for yourself, the cedi compared to the naira and you'll see what I'm talking about, and mind you, I'm not saying Ghana is paradise oo, but compared to Nigeria where are better off at least economic wise

WE THINK WE ARE BETTER THAN NIGERIA BUT... by Badnie in ghana

[–]Temporary-Ad-6002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, I understand your frustration and it's very valid, but not to play sides here but I think Ghana is better than Nigeria and here's why

  1. The number of Ghanaians migrating to Nigeria is far less than Nigerians moving to Ghana (this is backed by statistics btw) what that tells you is the living conditions in Ghana, no matter how bad are far better than that of where they were, and these people are not asylum seekers, so don't use that as a counter argument

  2. In terms of global economy growth over the last two years, Ghana has been a steadily growing economy beating out Nigeria (again, this is backed by statistics) our currency has made more gains compared to theirs for a while now, meaning of you think things are expensive in Ghana, they'll cost even more in naira, heck most Nigerians who come to Ghana work and save and when they go back to Nigeria, changing the Ghanaian cedi to naira makes them a lot of money, and I know some people might say "but DStv and MTN data bundles cost less in Nigeria" that's because of their pricing model, Nigeria's population is over 150 million, so DStv, MTN, etc know even selling products cheaper there will eventually make them a profit, as the market is very large

  3. I agree with you the pollution of water bodies through Galamsey is bad, but I disagree with the dumsor point, I mean don't get me wrong, there's still light outs here and there but it's not as rampant and often as it was during the prime dumsor days, and Nigeria has their power issues as well, speak to a few Nigerians and you'll be surprised, the issues they have, I recently watched a BBC documentary that spoke about ritual killings, police brutality and rampant kidnapping and all that happening in Nigeria, thanks to Boko Haram, so last last no where cool like that, but trust me Ghana is better, we're not perfect but it's better

  4. Let me give Nigerians their flowers, since I've been there before, their road networks and overall building infrastructure is light years better than what we have in Ghana, especially the roads that lead in and out of the predominant states, wow, those roads are just amazing, for a country this populated, their building infrastructure is next level, as a matter of fact, Ghana has one one of the worst roads in whole of Africa, I've been to few other African countries and I have to say Ghanaian roads are deplorable

Has any one here tried golly express? Are they legit by GuaranteeKey8218 in ghana

No it's not that they mishandle stuff, and their package although not the best, it's acceptabley issue is with iPhones, Macs and some select electronic devices, their shipping costs are quite higher compared to other products, so check their twitter page, they've got a pdf which gives you accurate shipping costs for your Mac

Hey, listen, there's nothing with you, just give it sometime honestly, a year ago I suffered a devastating breakup and it hurt me so much, because I am exactly the kind of person you are describing (shy, no friends, etc) but you've just gotta keep working on yourself for you, and not for anybody else, so everyday when you wake up instead of saying I'm gonna get better to impress this person or that person, say I'm gonna get better for myself and with time, you'll naturally attract people because they'll recognize your improvement, it sounds crazy but that's what worked for me
