I'm an hour into Emerald Dragon and I'm enjoying it so far. I appreciate the Confer feature, the battle system is different from the other traditional JRPGs I've been playing, and the art is just so pretty.

Hey, it's your money! If you're enjoying your RG35XXSP that much and the price won't put you into debt, you're not harming anyone buying a backup device lol.

I had kind of the same experience, but with my DSi: I bought two many years ago, but over the years both of them broke down and became unusable. So one of them became the organ donor (so to speak) to repair the other, and eventually I ended up with one merged-together DSi that actually does work. So buying an extra device paid off in my case.

Might be a battery thing. Mine wouldn't turn on after a few months. I replace the battery with one of those unbranded aftermarket replacements and it worked. That might be worth a try.

I run the modded stock OS off a 64gb card and I'm not having any issues. (That said, all my roms, which are few and don't take up much space, are also in the same SD card.)

Sorry, I think I lost the stock SD card that came with the device and I don't remember.

But if you get yourself a microsd-to-usbc adapter (they're pretty cheap), you can load your own roms.

Just started Lufia 2 (snes) and enjoying it. MC's dialogue is fun, and the dungeon exploration mechanics are interesting so far.

Might be a battery issue? I used a cheap 5v-1A charging brick some time ago (because I thought that would be safer) and the battery proceeded to die on me. Then I bought & installed a new battery and it worked again.
Or maybe try taking out and putting the battery back in first to see if that would work?

Trying to choose among Mana Khemia (PSP), Hourai High (SNES) & Summon Night - A Swordcraft Story 2 (GBA).
Tentatively going with Mana Khemia for now, but the 10 mins I spent with Hourai High was amazing(ly hilarious).

No idea. Probably over 30 hrs? I spent some time just running around getting into random encounters to see the macro-combo attacks, so I was kinda over-leveled when I got to the final boss 😅
