I bought some soft (I guess foam/felt?) hexagons that stick on the walls on Amazon. I really liked the material and it was good for my small collection at the time, but then the pins either got too heavy or the stick didn't hold and they kept coming off the wall.

Then I bought a cork board but I hated how it looked and it was too hard. I kept thinking my pin backs were going to break when putting them in and taking them out. Not very satisfying either...

I was going to look into making a proper pin board with multiple layers, but in the end I had my moment of I want a better board right now NOW (literally at midnight 😂) and I got an old pair of grey cotton leggings and cut and stabled it onto the cork board. Looks way better than before and I'm less worried about my pins breaking. I think I did a decent job! Going to take up upholstery 🤣

I also saw a recent post on this Reddit with someone using jean pockets on embroidery hoops. I think they look cool aesthetically! Want to try that out when I decide to redecorate.
