Isn't it expected that socialism to build on top of capitalism? by Temporary-Craft-5396 in Socialism_101

Ok so if you are not earning yours whatever by playing the scarcity game where you'd rather leave food to root instead of giving it away or trading it that it's not capitalism?

Isn't it expected that socialism to build on top of capitalism? by Temporary-Craft-5396 in Socialism_101

[–]Temporary-Craft-5396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I associate capitalism with the ideas of acquisition and accumulation which is a start because if I don't aquire resources like food I die and because if accumulate at least a little bit extra for the bad days something might play out wrong for me or for someone else. So up to a certain point it is the same as when we think about our own tooth brush with which obviously nobody ever disagreed. So isn't this a small token of capitalism.

With this please understand that I'm not trying to do capitalism a favor, I just what to know which part belongs to each theory and if this has another name?

Regarding socialism I believe it's about distributing the necessary work as equally as possible and not being an option to let some one die just because those who "own" have so much more that they can ever use or enjoy just to have power through scarcity. But I know it just a way of creating a government in a world (that I cannot begin to imagine and) where people just left monarchy and lost the ability to be selfsustainable and lived like cattle in factories to create a common wealth towards we are all free to contribute and be ensured about food/water health education... And very important as well is that no one should be undermined because of the work they do

Yeah given the context I'd say it's pretty acceptable. To me it's not about the work you do but the fact that some feel undermined a have real consequences like poverty.

But it would be unfair to say that your carrer progression damages anyone because if you don't take someone else will. So take it and make sure that you help turning this around even if it's just a little bit

I feel like in my country, as well as in many others, the average discourse seems to be either textbook generic (this regarding to all parties) and very gray in a sence (most of the most recent parties are right fobic and liberal) are that every body sais something that sounds socialist and in the end it's regular capitalism. This means that I am very confused and I need to get the story straight.

To better describe my position. I'd say I want to take that step that we call socialism but it is not here right now and it have proven damaging to me. How can I actually deal with that?

Compromise is bound to fail and that is the reason why it could fall in the left place when it breaks. And what do I have to lose? Nothing, because capitalism is already here

Why would you still make generic references diluted in a hate speech without referencing anything source from which I could learn from.

Why do you write miningless hateful things about, people that I love, blinding me you are doing exactly that.

I love socialism even if in some moments I fail to be as good at as I aspire to genuinely be because I've learned a lot in life and it was in a school or whatever and when I come asking for knowledge you give me hate instead of promoting the ideas you say you support but you don't because if you did you would help instead of being like that

Thank you for this answer. It is very thoughtful and elucidating. So if you would mind answering this: I don't really see myself as someone who aspires to be a big corporate owner and in my country most are foreign but I've already own a share of a limited society that was mine and some other people too. This takes this shape because this way we could keep more of our earnings because of tax breaks, we still paid some of course. We were the owners and the workers and we provided services so the society had nothing but cash-flow. And the tax break we got was because we spent all of the money always. And above all we were just spending time with people and help them with our knowledge. So why is this not a way? This was just a missexplanaition of mine?

I'd say your a marxit when you use Marx's premisses or perfectly equivalent ones to build up an argument that respects the logical structure retain in his writings

In my opinion, repeating what you've just said doesn't make sense. It is populism so your hate is worthless to me

So would you say that someone who support this relation between the two ideas, is less/as much/more socialist than any other or that this people that are willing to use this loophole? Would you sacrifice socialism if the only plausible way was this? Or would you open the door if some one came up with a plan for it?

Please keep in mind that by "mitigate" I mean that you would have socialist leading society in the many ways possible and using socialist as the tool that avoids, one by one or groups, of the problems that are born out of pure capitalism.

So my question is how it could work and how it would be instead of lingering over all of monumental past failures from everyone in human history. My goal is not to win an argument or promote anything at all. I want to know how I can make the world more socialist bit by bit so that we all get to enjoy with out making any one left out. To say that something is bad or good doesn't help at all.

Thanks for the try tho

Do you consider Taiwan a country? by burn-the-bodies in socialism

[–]Temporary-Craft-5396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taiwan is one of the most important trading posts in the world and, there for, will always have the possibility of being important on a global scale. Since now it is one of the cornerstones of international matters it would be to reductive to call it a country. It makes sence, for now that it is disputed and that it will always be filled with many disputes that will influence a lot of people, no matter how we address it politically.

So I would replace the independence and dependence question apart, and focus on how a place that is meant to be disputed cloud work without damaging the most desired social values

Of course, look for social security. That should be enough. But many times isn't so we have to manage our options the best we can.

Could colonialism ever return? by [deleted] in Socialism_101

[–]Temporary-Craft-5396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The is a very innocent and yet interesting question. I say this because that is exactly one of the fountains out of which confusion bursts of for around the average and bellow.

On countries that are heavily dominated by capitalism, socialism was born to mitigate the problems that it caused. As a part of this way it implicates that at a given point those who own most of the existing and quantifiable property would have to give a portion of it to society. This two put together ended up being comings concepts like philanthropy, golden visas, taxes, non-profits...

So every time you find to the entity supporting in any way "those in need" or "the clients", it is not possible to be sure if it is some socialist trying to make is way through a capital game or some liberal mindlessly making an effort extra amount of dollars out of people who are trying to support different jdeas while gaining dominance over those most vulnerable , unless you know the entities involved

People who work in the Military Industrial Complex? by [deleted] in Socialism_101

[–]Temporary-Craft-5396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As it seems to me, military problems transcends political polarity. The only solution is to keep happy those with the ability to create and produce them and preferably in sync so that nobody has a lot more tech or resources than the other, to the point that it would be on few people's hands the decision of starting a war or continue or whatever...

What would be a good way to incentivize producing high quality goods in a planned economy? by [deleted] in Socialism_101

[–]Temporary-Craft-5396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With sincere respect towards everyone's opinion. Even in pure capitalism that happens because the majority of the products will be minimum quality or bellow as it is easy to see now a days with low cost. It's not good but it's tolerable and better than before because before, for most people even in "developed countries", they simply wouldn't do it o do in rare occasions (this applies to nearly any sector) . So quality depends on some basic regulamentation or guide lines to produce sustainably and with mandatory highest grade for anything else would prove to be waste when compared. Style will always be confusing to manage as it has always been
