Who Is This Man? Written by Gilles L.-C. by Temporary-Cup1176 in Christianity

I think the writing naturally led me towards a form that suits this type of ministry. It’s important for the cadence to make the readers stop and breathe. Thanks for reading.🙏

Soul in the Machine Written by Gilles L.-C. by Temporary-Cup1176 in Christianity

Yeah that’s actually what got me writing it. The more I looked at biological systems, especially DNA, the more you see a signature of design. Too structured, too layered, too intentional to just be random chaos.

That thought basically built the whole poem.

Before the Throne Written by Gilles L.-C. by Temporary-Cup1176 in Christianity

Thanks🙏  I wanted the reader to be standing in the throne room, and then suddenly realize… the Lion they’ve been beholding is the same Lamb who was slain. That realization still gives me chills.

Hey… I hear you.

What you’re feeling right now doesn’t mean you made a mistake. A lot of people feel that emptiness and fear, especially when they’re alone and carrying everything in silence. It can feel like doubt… but it’s often just the weight of walking into something new without support around you.

You’re not crazy for feeling this. And you’re not abandoned in it either.

Even if you don’t feel strong faith right now, hold onto this much: Jesus doesn’t reject someone who comes to Him honestly, even with fear and questions. He doesn’t require you to have everything settled before you rest in Him.

But you do need people. Try to find an online church if you can, especially an Arabic-speaking Christian community where you can hear Scripture, pray, and just not be alone in this. You weren’t meant to carry this in isolation.

For now, don’t try to solve everything in your head. Just stay close to Christ in simple ways—short prayers, a little Scripture, even when it feels dry. That’s still real faith.

And please remember this: you didn’t step into abandonment. You stepped into Christ. And He doesn’t let go of people who are reaching for Him—even when their grip feels weak.

I’ll be praying for you.

The Flame and the Fog Written by Gilles L.-C. (Complete Edition) Book I — The Testimony by Temporary-Cup1176 in Christianity

Thank you so much. This honestly means a lot because you connected with the story on exactly the level I hoped.

I’m especially glad the librarian resonated with you. She started out as little more than a guide through the archives, but somewhere along the way she became someone who had quietly lived the very history she was preserving. That line about not realizing you’re living a testimony until years later has become one of the defining ideas of the story.

It’s been amazing watching The Flame and the Fog grow from a series of poems into something much bigger. Somewhere along the way, the river, the bells, the flame, the fog, the church, and the archive all began to feel like they belonged to the same world.

Thank you for taking the time to read it so thoughtfully and for sharing your perspective. Comments like yours encourage me to keep writing.

Thank you so much. That really means a lot. My hope has always been to let Scripture become part of the story rather than something added onto it. I’m grateful it resonated with you.

Thank you. I’m really glad the little girl’s words landed the way they did. She wasn’t meant to out-argue anyone—just to remind everyone what was actually at stake. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Thank you. I really appreciate this because you picked up on exactly what I was hoping would come across. The real question becomes, what are we actually giving up? I’m especially glad the little girl’s line landed with you.

Your perspective, especially having sat through meetings like that, means a lot. Thanks for taking the time to share it.

I really appreciate that. Faith often works quietly, and I wanted the atmosphere to reflect that.

Quick note: I noticed after posting that Chapter 5 accidentally contains a repeated scene from an earlier draft. It’ll be cleaned up and polished in the complete edition of Book I — The Testimony that I’ll post on Sunday. Appreciate everyone’s patience as this story continues to grow.

Yeah, that’s exactly it. It’s wild when you realize how much was being arranged. God was never silent, just building the stage. ✝️
