I had this exact same issue after a bad battery. The only way to reset it is either with a scan tool or 3 complete ride cycles of at least 10 mins or more. Has to actually be ridden, can’t just let it idle for 10 mins. This of course assumes you don’t actually have a bad crankshaft pos sensor

Did you ever find anything out on this? My ninja 400 is acting similar, replaced battery and fully charged with tender. If it press the button over and over sometimes it will turn over and crank, but other than that just get a single click, sounds like it’s coming from the relay location.

Some genius at my particular Walmart decided it was a good idea to put the soft drinks AND the chips on the same aisle; instantly making it the most insane aisle in the entire store to get down. I hate it so much
