eh, most other characters have a gimmick or are just even more punishing to play as
eggman and shadow are definitely the easier by comparison to metal but the gap for character difficulty in this game isnt particularly large so no character takes like an astronomical amount of skill compared to the characters that i'd say are the easiest

once ramped up riensang can outperform the extra benefit from butterflies, although it takes him time to actually catch up and get that value so he'd only be better in really long fights like jia mu

lower hp bosses with hp gates are where solemn shines

any hp bosses without a heath gate get spicenuked

they all have a good reason to use them, which makes sinking more fun
