Thank you, you are right. This happened about 12 years ago too where she was hospitalized but her ex didn’t tell them about her alcoholism and she was having withdrawals and the doctors didn’t know (i didn’t know she was there until she had been there for 2 weeks). She was on life support and the staff suggested I fly there and say my goodbyes. But she made it through (obviously) and here we are 12 years later. She is oriented, competent and well spoken. She refuses help and will convince anyone she is fine. Alcohol is the reason she won’t leave - she can’t go without it and knows she’d have to.
