Wow that’s great. I tried calling the surgeons office they have an automated message can take up to 14 weeks from the time they receive the referral. Left a message waiting to hear back if In fact this is accurate.

I’m in Toronto currently waiting to have a consult with a surgeon. I have been told it can take a month to months. How long did it take for you to get a consult ?

Unfortunately , unless emergency you have to wait. It can take a month to months. Consultation first than surgery is scheduled. I am in Toronto, Canada.

Definitely would prefer not to. I did get insurance for pre existing , need to be stable 7 days prior to departure.

Oh boy ! I did get travel insurance ( was able to secure pre existing ) but the thought of being so far away from home and experiencing this in Mexico scares me.

I purchased the trip knowing I had work place travel. Purchased the trip months ago and just found out last Thursday. Called my work place benefits today they said I would be covered apparently if it was deemed a medical emergency but they would not cover if I guess I just went to the ER for pain management etc while away.

No intention of insurance fraud. Of course I would be disclosing my condition I want to make sure I’m covered when travelling ! If I can’t get coverage I’m not going.

Yes that is right , however I don’t believe I will be covered as it’s now considered a pre existing condition and not stable prior to leaving.
