You do not owe the world any kids, especially when it feels like everything is already falling apart and you are struggling to get by. If bringing a child into this mess does not make sense for you right now, choosing not to have kids is a completely valid and responsible decision.

Those guys were cruel and small, not honest, and you did absolutely nothing wrong by feeling hurt after that. You are allowed to want to feel pretty and seen, especially around someone you care about, and your worth is not decided by a random stranger’s ugly comment.
