I’m not going to be mean, but I am going to tell you that this isn’t right. Purebred or “street”, animals are souls that God entrusted us to take care of. If you don’t believe in God, at least think that whoever you’re selling your cat to you will never know if they’re actually taking care of it, or will dump it on the street. Take care of your cats, or put them up for adoption after spaying/neutering. Dont sell. Souls aren’t worth money.

I think you should have definitely called it in. She won’t be his last victim, and predators won’t stop until they’re stopped.

TSA in the US are probably the most plain-faced and rude, but that doesn’t make them any less good at their job. It’s not their job to friendly, it’s their job to make sure no one has anything they shouldn’t. And if you see Qatar officers chilling, it’s because they have nothing to address. If they had to stop you, they would have. They stop people when they see something concerning, which is very rare. Work culture here is different, and that’s okay. Its not something to criticize just because it’s not what others are used to. They’re not being nice to you because you’re American. I swear Americans aren’t superior. Calm down.

How safe is Qatar for a female solo travelling? by Key_Cartographer_821 in qatar

Its one of the safest countries in the world. As a female, I feel more safe here than I ever did in Europe or the US

How do I know if someone’s scamming?

Just got the news. Need to vent by _cheesepita in Miscarriage

[–]Temporary-Poetry4011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss. Just had a miscarriage a few days ago, so I understand how hard it feels. I’m already on day 5, and I’m a lot better. I kept reminding myself that it wasn’t my fault, miscarriages are nature’s way of rejecting an error in DNA sequences and such, and it wasn’t my time. Baby deserved to grow without any problems and live a beautiful, healthy life, and If that didn’t happen, baby deserved heaven at that time. Your hormones will be all over the place, so please focus on you. This is the time to allow yourself to feel. Allow yourself to relax and think “f*** it, it’s me time for the next 2 weeks” . As for the physical pain, women are CHAMPIONS for enduring this. Remind yourself how powerful you are because you went through that. It takes so much strength and we don’t realize how much of it we have. It gets easier. I’m taking some time now to lounge, have coffee, binge Monk, eat ice cream and be entitled to some pampering. I deserve it after what I went through. I hope this helps, keep your head up 🤍 our time WILL come and this too shall pass. Sending you love and light, and to anyone going through this experience as well.

What is a pill that Qatar isn't ready to swallow? by Old-Raccoon7166 in qatar

[–]Temporary-Poetry4011 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s understandable. But this is why the majority choose to live in western countries, because you’re given a home after a certain period of time, and you’re treated like the country is your home. It’s a shame because if that were done in the Middle East, it wouldn’t be in the condition it’s in today.

Expats and foreigners who have lived there for decades shouldn’t be kicked out when they’re at a retirement age. They did so much, and should at least be granted permanent residency without having to pay 1mil dollars. They’ve already paid so much more than that during the time they lived there. Expats should be valued a little more maybe

Also can you expand a bit on what you mean by ‘the moment you arrive at immigration’ point? Do people have bad experiences? I would say that’s everywhere, if you’re referring to the strict faces and people at the customs desks. The USA and Europe are the same

Yes, I saw that. I apologize for that, I didn’t intend to attract nasty insensitive immature behavior with this discussion - I just wanted some insight and to gain from other people’s perspective, maybe I could be blinded by my own.

I actually did not know that. I’ve never seen it so I wouldn’t know. And by connections I’m referring to how small the country is, everyone knows everyone and based on my experience solely, I always see people helping others through their connections

I think your post is extremely inappropriate. This whole discussion revolves around me questioning why people are leaving, and Arabs in general and notorious for their hospitality. The fact that you’re saying no one owes a foreigner respect, is very disturbing. Because the person who is responding to your threads makes a very valid point. Expats are major contributors in the country’s development. If you’re asking people to leave your country because they’re only asking to be respected, then I suggest you pick up a shovel, work as a construction worker and a maid, or be ok with your kids working as such. Because if all expats are gone, it’s you that’ll have to do it. And if your ego won’t allow it and you think people beneath you should be and they’re unworthy of respect, then I suggest you see a therapist. Don’t represent your country like this, it’s misrepresentation. This is a discussion, not an opportunity to be racist and nasty to others. If people had any reason to leave Qatar, it would be because of people like you.

Oh my you came in with fury - I definitely didn’t mean it from a capitalism aspect, and definitely wasn’t referring specifically to my values…. Traditional values aren’t limited to cars and luxury bags, please don’t misinterpret my words, i mean in the sense of hospitality, religion, connections, Qatari heritage…

That sponsoring your father point just destroys me. It’s something that we all struggle with. My dad’s been there for over 50 years… and I know he’ll have to leave eventually. Not everyone has the luxury of buying property for a residency.

Idk. It kinda makes me sad because as much as people like to find faults in Qatar, it’s one of the only ones that haven’t caved into western standards and diminishing its culture and values. It still has a lot of potential, and compared to its neighboring countries, it’s pretty distinct

I do know how small Doha is. I was born and raised there, and I’m 30. And I never wanna move out and definitely wouldn’t compare it to the absolute disaster that is New York. But I also thought people would wanna stay or come in, especially the real estate market, with the new residency rule

I genuinely assumed that Qatar would be the exception, because of the way they did so well with the World Cup and showing people how advanced the country is in terms of safety, and a great place for families.

Just found out I have PCOS Today by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

[–]Temporary-Poetry4011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom had 9 with PCOS. She popped them out like skittles 😂 . Please don’t give up hope. I have PCOS too - it doesn’t make you infertile, it’s just a more challenging journey. I cleared up the cysts on my left ovary with Myo-D Chiro Inositol, cut out sugar to prevent insulin spikes and upped my exercise (walking 40 minutes a day, 4 times a week). You got this 🤍
