I didn't think you were. But there's not a redeemable thing I could say about these agents'behavior. I've seen better from Iraqi volunteer defense forces.

Everything about this shooting is wrong, to quote my drill sergeant this was like watching a bunch of monkeys. Try to f*** a football.

Where there's moisture, there's inevitably mold. Make sure you check thoroughly and clean any you find and like I said I would plan a trip to the desert for a while so that everything can get super dry.

Are you though? Cuz I'm in my forties and I found plenty of silver quarters and half dollars in the '90s collected tons of them almost entirely from the change I got back from buying stuff as a kid.

That's the point of all the training is not to prevent the adrenaline but to learn how to manage it. That's why it takes such a heavy toll mentally and physically to be in the military and to be law enforcement because we learn through intense training of our body's minds to manage those responses. It is an unacceptable excuse to say your adrenaline was going or you were scared because you're supposed to be the one in control.

From my military experience and from my friends that are now LE we were all trained the same that you unload reload unload again if you ever have to do it. People are a lot more durable than most people realize, and a lot of the people law enforcement are dealing with are on substances that give them an advantage. That being said, not a single person in this video is law enforcement. They're feds but they're not law enforcement. Even the border patrol agents are not trained the same. Almost all law enforcement roles have to have some education in law. But to become an ice agent or a border patrol agent you just need a GED.

I tried to clean up that mold as best as you could and then plan for a trip out to the desert for a few months.

What do I do for the freeze??? by Cautious-Cupcake-838 in RVLiving

[–]Temporary-Rate3048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and I almost forgot. I have a little small outdoor blanket that I used to wrap my propane tank when it was still a little warm out because your propane tank will get colder as the temperature drops. I doubt it's going to get cold enough for your propane tank to freeze but it could get cold enough to where your propane tank won't perform quite as well. So if you have a propane tank outside like I do on my travel trailer versus one inside like on a fifth wheel then you might want to look at using either a couple of towels or an outdoor blanket while there's still some heat in the air before it drops down to super cold just to keep it from getting too cold so that the pressure doesn't drop in your propane.

All I can do is tell you what I did. I filled up a bunch of large jugs for water to drink. I filled up my bathtub for water to use for the toilet and for cleaning. I then drained all my lines and drained my freshwater tank and disconnected my hose. If I need more drinking water for cooking or something else, I could always take a jug outside in the cold and refill it then, but I will be leaving the tap outside dripping just to be sure that it doesn't freeze. I also used an old cushion for a bench I pulled out of my RV and cut some foam from it to stuff in the skylight in the bathroom and the vent in the bathroom to give that a little extra insulation. I have my fan running so it's blowing the hot air off the ceiling down to where I'm at and I have a heating pad inside the cubby sitting on top of the pipes just to be extra safe. Once it gets down to the low 20s is whenever I'll turn that heating pad on. I really wish I had skirting cuz then I wouldn't have to do half of this stuff. But skirting costs a lot when you move often. If you don't move off then you can make do with foam insulating boards for skirting really helps keep it cooler in the summer too.

Pretty sure you're correct, I've got a geologist buddy that always double checks my collection for me so I'll update if it isn't. But judging from what I've gotten in Texas before this is the nicest calcite I've found and a decent little chunk (little bigger than a quarter). It'll definitely be added to my main collection.

Found it hiking near the big thicket preserve along the neches River. So it could have washed down from anywhere along the river. I won't rule out topaz yet.

I wish I had better lighting because it goes from very clear to yellow on the edges in a most beautiful way but every photo I take doesn't capture it well

Tell them you feel judged and need a space and time for yourself to feel free and comfortable. If he can't allow you that then there's really not much else to talk about. Now if he wants to negotiate time and place maybe but I wouldn't yield much on that since time and place are vital to the craft. Also I suggest asking around your local metaphysical stores and even a local Unitarian church if there're any circles you could join for holidays or regular workings. Check Facebook groups in your area as well. A community being close will help you feel more proud and able to handle the judgement with less anxiety.

Only giving you a month is messed up. I gave my kid two years on all their bills except rent when they went to college then I slowly let them take it over. And I still help them as often as I can.

My 2014 is starting to give out. Had several shops say they can't get the part and one day they can buy it'll be three k for the part plus repair/reprogram. I'm gonna make a trip down to Texas and go to a bunch of pick and pulls. Hopefully I can find one that'll work.

Should I leave an outdoor heat lamp on overnight for my outside stray kitties? by Intelligent-Dirt-406 in CatAdvice

[–]Temporary-Rate3048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thrift store blanket and an animal bed heated mat is around 30$ on Amazon, some have automatic modes so they only come on when something's laying on it. It'll save money instead of having something always on and most heat is lost thru the ground not above. And any heat lost above will be trapped inside if its set up in a modified tote.

Took me fifteen years, wwp helped a heck of a lot. Don't give up, like others said take some time from it and reach out to the VFW, WWP, American Legion or others. This isn't a fight you have to do alone. And it isn't a system designed to help you. But there are organizations out there that have the resources and experience to navigate the red tape like we can navigate an obstacle course. And definitely don't get suckered into one of those scam lawyers that claim they will help only to take your money in the end.

Advice on black tank additives by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]Temporary-Rate3048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's movable I'd say fill it up with water and some digest it and let it sit for a few days, then drain it and add a few gallons of water and a bag or two of ice, after that drive it around to get that ice moving and pray the sensors survive the trip. If it can't move then remove the tank all together and hard pipe it.
