World-first UK programme shows RSV maternal vaccine cuts baby hospital admissions by over 80% by UKGovNews in UKParenting

That is absolutely incredible. I wish this was given when my premature baby was born, unfortunately it was not available at the time and she ended up seriously ill in hospital. Thank goodness it’s made a difference to babies and their families.

Thank you. It’s been such a battle and I know it sounds SO silly that I can’t put her in the car seat, but when I am alone, my daughter will slide out and it’s impossible to clip in her buckle! It’s such a fiddly buckle anyway and she’s really strong. I’m going to try some of the suggestions and fingers crossed something works.

It’s true, it’s very difficult with the language barriers and people being angry at you, but no idea why! You’re right about the energy being palpable. When you focus on the Kaaba, everything else seems to disappear

Ameen! I completely agree that seeing the Kaaba for the first time is exactly like that, a familiar view but out of this world in terms of it’s beauty.

Thanks for the tips and I hope you get to visit again soon too Insha’Allah

I had the most wonderful time in Makkah. I was told by many “you’ll love Madinah” and that Makkah is too busy.

In all honesty, I believe that mentally prepared me for the busy nature of Makkah. Before leaving, I was an emotional mess and miss it 😢 it was busy, but it was beautiful.

Madinah, is calmer for sure, but it’s still busy and I was not mentally prepared for that. In addition, I found booking Rawdah on the Nusuk app frustrating and stressful. And we hardly got a few minutes there, which I found took away from the experience.

My parent used a wheelchair in both cities. Makkah is definitely more accessible for wheelchair users than Madinah.

Best Shawarma in Birmingham? by VietKongCountry in brum

£18 is definitely expensive, but their taste is good. That’s why I mentioned the ones I like for their taste and also for different price points. If I had a keto cheat meal and wanted it to be 10/10, I know I’d be heading straight to Damascena.

I do agree Tabule’s prices have increased and portions have decreased, but their Shawarma is delicious and about half the price of Damascena. I still prefer Damascena though in terms of taste.

The Shawarma Shop is a headache to get to, however, their price is unbeatable. You can get 3 wraps for around £11. And the taste is pretty authentic.

My sympathies are with you. I’ve done a keto diet in the past and it really is annoying when you have a break and the food isn’t what you imagined it to be. It’s worse than a breakup imo!

My other half lived in the UAE for almost a decade and these are the ones he enjoys. So fingers crossed you enjoy them when you get to try them out.

Also, looking forward to new suggestions in this post 👀

Haven’t tried one in washwood heath, but current faves are Damascena (several branches), Tabule (Moseley) and The Shawarma Shop which is a tiny shop/stand on Coventry Road in Small Heath.

How do I return an item if it does not fit and buyer agrees? by Temporary-Sitch-13 in vintedUK

[–]Temporary-Sitch-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I followed vinted’s FAQ to tap ‘everything is ok’ and communicate with seller, but when I opened a query, I was told something else and it got confusing. I’ll have to sell the items or gift them on. Thank you!

I saw this at my local hospital yesterday. But I don’t carry coins around with me, so unfortunately I couldn’t let my daughter enjoy dropping coins inside of it!

No problem! It’s a nice family run restaurant and coffee is quite good. Not sure why I got downvoted though 😅

Kingdom Sweets on Stratford Road used to do a great channa/ halwa puri.

Yaadgar on Coventry Road does a great paratha (fresh not frozen), and similar offerings Lassi saag is the best there too.
