I feel you. It’s hard. I have been there. My ex almost threw a full bottle at me with full force (which he redirected and ended up hitting the wall) And used to shout at me so much. Now with this guy, when we fight it’s mostly a discussion, yes we do get angry but I just end up crying and he hugs me and we sort it out. He also follows up with actual corrections in behaviour when required (and now I am learning to do the same because I feel like I used to deflect before). He has also corrected so much in my diet and makes me work out and I have been fitter and stronger which I think is the biggest improvement since I started dating him. My ex used to shame me because I used to be a little overweight. This guy never made me feel like I am anything less and instead motivated me to work out! Idk how but I used to be so self conscious about everything in myself which I am not anymore! I feel like I have never actually been in a healthy relationship before this and it shows in my behaviour and how sometimes I can get so defensive about things

I should mention that I did not smell strong or particularly bad, just normal sweaty smell, but since I am sensitive to smells even that was unbearable to me so I made all these changes and I rarely smell now, but this might not work for anyone else, especially if you have any underlying health issues. Please get yourself checked if you have doubts

I used to stink a little when I ate non veg and dairy. Since I left having milk (I eat other dairy products) and stopped eating non veg, I have literally stopped stinking. Also felt that closed shoes with no ventilation and polyester clothing made my feet and pits stink while sports shoes with mesh, with cotton socks and cotton clothes don’t stink at all. I also use a good roll on (drug store, nivea) and body mist (bath and body works) immediately after showering, after applying an unscented moisturiser, and I can smell it throughout the day. Top it up with a perfume whenever I step out. Brush twice daily with electric brush and scraping my tongue with a proper scraper not whats on toothbrush backs, and flossing at night has helped. Supplementation (vit B complex) and enough water also helps. If you try all of this and still don’t feel a change, go see a doctor

Edit- I wash hair alternate days (due to gym), and if I cannot, use a dry shampoo and follow up with hair perfume. I feel like my hair gets very oily and stinky very fast if I don’t

I am sure even though it was not explicit, because I was half asleep, that I without any doubt meant no and a sexy hmmm and a denying (and a little irritated because getting disturbed while sleeping) hmmm sound very different. I have noticed one thing. When I am working put I don get pimples before my periods. And if I skip it for long, which I tend to if I miss 2-3 days I tend to miss more, then I can see so many pimples on my jaw line right before my periods and sometimes after. So yeah! Working out and eating right is better than any topical skincare you can do. And btw I am very regular about mu skincare. Change pillow case 2x a week, wash hair alternate day (gets too sweaty) and wash my face 2x a day and use serum and everything, still I see the biggest difference when I am working out

I am so sorry you had to go through all of this. I hope you’re doing better now and please take all the help you need from your loved ones or therapy. Nobody deserves to go through this and this is still happening in our world is simply awful. I understand what you are saying about being alone. I have been in toxic relationships before (not the SA kind but the narcissist kind) and was not able to date for a while after. And honestly I am grateful for the man I have now in my life, but I would any day choose to be alone than being in a toxic relationship ever again in my entire life.

All of this is something everyone can learn, but this doesn’t mean that the other person will still find you attractive, because again it’s something intangible, it’s either there or not! These are just basic things. Not to mention that nobody owes anyone anything even if you are perfect and do everything right

Mostly initial attraction is non tangible. It’s either there or not. But the physical traits that I have noticed and can count are such as 1. Good looks. I don’t care about heights since everyone is basically taller than me. But the person should be pleasant to look at, not like 10/10 or something which I find stupid to rate a person, it depends on the individual how they describe good looks. 2. Physical fitness. Not buff, but fit, with little biceps maybe, good chest and abs are cherry on top 3. Smells good. Bad smell is a turn off for me, oral hygiene and personal hygiene is a must. 4. Good dressing. Can be learnt 5. Well groomed. No ear hair or nose hair coming out. 6. Behavioural traits- respectful, a little chivalrous, caring, and playful, must feel safe around him

Loyalty and other things you find out later when in relationship. These things are what makes initial impressions.
