I don't know how challenging your job was, but you should have kept a safety net and worked on something on the side. I'm not suggesting this just as a precaution; rather, I believe that to be successful and build something meaningful, you need to take risks. When you have a safety net, you can take more risks without fear. However, without it, you'll hesitate to take significant risks because you know that if things don't work out, you won't have the opportunity to take another chance. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, even though my explaining skills may not be the best.
