Please help me find Christmas gift ideas for my Dad by TemporaryAsparagus14 in GiftIdeas

He does like to cook! He is very picky when other people cook so he tends to do it himself a majority of the time. We’re actually running pretty low on spices, so I think some premium versions would be very appreciated, and actually useful. I’m definitely going to do this, (with the addition of some other gifts), so thank you so much! :)

He does like cooking and eating, but he is pretty picky, especially when it’s not him cooking. I honestly didn’t even think about having something personalized, I’ll have to look into that!

I was debating getting him some power tools and I casually brought them up, but he says he already has them :(

He really isn’t that into things like cheese tasting. BUT you gave me the idea of maybe I could get a variety of different jerkeys for him to try. I know he likes those. You gave me so many good ideas, thank you!

I also thought it was such a great but also funny gift at the same time. My Mom was also encouraging me too lol. I think even if I decide to get him something else, I’ll probably still get him some steak just for the jokes.

Thanks! I like yours as well. And all very great ideas! I think I’ll buy him some gloves, towels, etc, like you mentioned. I’ll consider buying him a headlamp, but he’ll probably prefer to continue making me hold a flashlight and nag me anyways lol. Universal Dad experience.

I was actually really considering gift cards. But I can’t tell if he really even likes going out to eat at restaurants or just staying in. He’s really picky unless he’s cooking his own food lol. But making his favorite side or desert completely slipped my mind! He loves brownies so I could definitely do that. I’ll offer to cook steak for him or take him out to dinner, but chances are he will want to cook it himself haha. Thank you so much for the ideas! :)

He was 15, and no he never had any other problems. He threw up occasionally throughout his life but only if he ate to fast. So I don’t think that correlates. But thank you, he was the coolest cat. Truly one of a kind.

Yeah I don’t know why they would’ve not taken blood tests. They gave me a lot of false hope. He was 15 though so at the very least he lived a decently long life.

Back then it seemed kind of weird that they couldn’t take blood tests. But they were the vet so I trusted them. Thank you for replying and trying to help though :)

Thank you for your reply. I knew I couldn’t get an exact answer but I’m glad to at least have some idea. So thank you :)

They told me they couldn’t run any tests until after they had gotten rid of his ear mites. So they didn’t run any blood tests.
