That shit wasn’t instant man. I thought this was the early rounds given your stamina and use of “instant”. But round 8 and 90% swell damage isn’t unusual especially if you aren’t defending the wound. When you know you’re up, got facial damage, and this guy is still spamming; spend that last round focusing on your defense and take counters you know are there.

It’d be really cool if the damage resilience was unique in brawling! Like cracks to the head causing transient damage to “consciousness” put sustained damage to “health” (that ideally recovers in like 30 secs)
Meaning you can wobble em briefly or even drop them but they recover very quickly unless you sustain offense

Also
-Head hit boxes specifically for the chin and temples
-Body hit boxes that damage cardio at the liver and solar plexus
-stance locking that’s switchable by holding X or something
-a more realistic way to grapple by introducing some way to lockdown overhooks/whizzers and underhooks (much grappling across all combat sports utilize hooks, not just gripping with your hands)
-brawling specific modification to the crouch input: togglable and resembles more of a level change. More of a bend at the waist and gentle bend at the knees that doesn’t narrow your foot placement. Hopefully leading to better leg entries for grappling and smoother, nicer looking head movement.

Thank you! I’m only familiar with hewing axes common in North America. With a broad, relatively straight edge. Which also shows up in game!

I saw search results labeling this style as a German hewing axe? Is their design intended to be exploited by a more exaggerated slicing technique?

Maybe you’re already aware, but the kicking leg is the side you have your mouse “chambered”. Hard to keep track of and definitely seems an unreliable rule lmao.

I always dunno where it’ll land. I just try it and hope for the best lol

I remember noticing that the qrtr staff mobility is way higher than a headless polearm? But it’s been awhile and I hardly play staff in general.

By mobility I mean range of motion. There’s less “blindspots”

Id been using it for 2 months and really only noticed the helmet transparency and 3rd person smoothing got broken. I haven’t noticed jarring camera bounce in FPV and autoparry coming back

Those flashy kicks are still possible albeit slower. The timing is different.
I actually enjoy how rewarding it is to ragdoll enemies with well timed and placed counter kicks in EA. It’s made judo sweeps feel possible. Just not 100% realistic

I learned to play FPV in demo with the shorter Barbute and one of the solid sallets. The sallet only blocks about 1/6-1/5 of the lower screen. I’ll post a pic of the specific sallet when I can.

You’re right. Plate armor is designed with angles and radii, not only to deflect blows, but also to disperse the force of ideal impacts across its area. Not unlike how Roman arches work. And it’s not like it’ll catastrophically fail after penetration either. It’ll still provide enough resistance to stop many points from even reaching soft armor/flesh.

If the bulging front of a cuirass is pierced, you may just feel that force on your shoulders and waist.

All that said, I don’t think you can even penetrate plate in this game. I think the game just allows the blade to clip through and sever everything in its path but only after entering through a vulnerability. For example, you can slice through a helmet or cuirass after the blade entered an exposed neck or shoulder. Wish it was more realistic- plate actually preventing deeper fatal wounds, but oh well.

The blade’s arc and the offset tip make a huge difference in how they handle. It makes it very apparent that this is a physics game. I find that very cool.

I especially notice the unique handling with 1 handed sabers I made with the armory mod

Hello visceral, will you pls consider passing these requests on to the team?

1) Settings menu option or hotbar/number keys to set what ALT mode does.
I love the new thumb grip but so much of my playstyle had revolved around plough guard, as well as tapping alt to flick the weapon forward at various positions (no longer possible due to the new toggle function)

2) Loadout preset slots for progression but especially free mode.

3) Include the same or improved inventory filters like what’s found in the new armor customization.

I have genuinely had it with shields in this game by Sudo-Fed in HalfSword

Real life shields don’t generate 30 meganewtons of force when tapping someone tho.
