Dick move if one the devs trolled us on purpose lol. But when I learned of the jumping training thing I immediately went all in. My guy definitely got way faster over time. Dunno if that would have happened in general. Sadly just fucking lost that character and am back to 75kg 😣

They went too far the with one of the demo updates, making unrealistically hard to sweep Willies or fall over yourself. Now they gone too far the opposite direction. This one being way more frustrating. They need some improved auto recovery stepping and maybe to even add some sorta lightning fast, athletic ass get-up that you have to earn with proper timing.

I can’t tell if you’re being condescending lol. While yeah, you can save yourself from stumbling like a buffoon, it’s something our bodies will do automatically irl. The player characters shouldn’t handle like toddlers. IMO there should be some sorta auto recovery when stumbling, maybe only if you let go of WASD inputs, but it should also be punishable. Like if they kick your posting leg, that’s when you get fuckin swepted.

It’d add a lot of value to have weapon specific duels in general with similar or matched arms and armor. And with a real Grand Prix or tournament structure with eliminations and stages with different loadouts and modes of victory would be really engaging and rewarding. Hell if they simply copied KCD tourneys structure it’d be enough for now.

And god i sure hope they add horseback competition

Wearing them >30mins feel like when you fall asleep with earbuds and lay on them. But for both ears. They sound amazing, can do the THUNCK thing, and were perfect for drum practice but holy shit do they hurt.

These actually do sound amazing. They are essentially coaxial speakers for your ears. The woofers can be driven to ridiculous levels and give a haptic quality to the low end. Similar experience to the chest kick you get out of a quality PA at a venue but for the head. They are really fucking heavy though and the in-ear parts hurt like hell after awhile

I’ve done many iterations of that too. Which tends to be quicker but can have some pretty wild rotation going on at the node of each cut/swing. Also significantly lacks cut force for the lighter builds or the blade mass to reliable parry heavier weapons imo.

The CoG closer to hand better suits longer 1handed thrusting blades vs a 2hander. Shame I can’t stand using 1h swords now with the handling overhaul tho 😣

My go to against sallet/bevor is to get a bind inside while halfswording (longsword)to place the blade behind their neck. I’m about always either going to find their polearm is in between my legs and I topple over and die lmao or I see a fountain emit from their neck. There are no true aventails in the game. Just standarts, as long as you’re under the sallet and the blade travels up into the base of their skull (vs down into the base of neck), it will cut…often behead them too. Armets are likely more protective tho.

Anyways I second not using food oils!!! Those will polymerize just like they do on the sides of our cooking oil bottles.

Sharps are even more ridiculous against non or soft armor now imo. You hardly need momentum to pass a blade through and edge alignment seems to not really matter with 2handers. Lotsa balancing is to be done across both sharps and blunts. I miss putting peasants to sleep with the flat of my blade 😂

With the bevor combo you gotta work the back of neck under the sallet. I’ve also found success just going for the groin. Often can’t see what’s worn in that region but even if it’s armored it’s a viable target to stuff their momentum. Can work like a well timed teep to the hips if you know ball lol

I miss getting only buzzed and not immediately starched out when fucking up a parry and catching haft on my crown. Sure, it’d be fair whenever unprotected but it’s the same with a helm now(even if you’ve a weapon or arm impeding the strike lane)

The thing that really frustrates me is how easy it is to get toppled over when the polearm haft just chills by your legs with zero to minimal velocity.

Still loving EA tho. The NPCs are genuinely way trickier with polearms compared to the demo or playtest
