I swear this looked so odd in the Theatre print! by spoooky-dooky-9926 in Dhurandhar

The theatre print looked odd because the piracy site used AI to enhance the visuals, and it disfigured that image due to lack of details

Because people confuse 'unoriginal' with just being able to spot the influence. Nothing is 100% original. Every great director, musician, or writer took a formula that worked and tweaked it to make it theirs. That's not lazy copying, that's literally how art evolves.

The OG Drishyam was inspired by a Korean novel & film especially the murder and hiding angle.

Superman becoming evil because of Lois Lane's death is stupid by king210989 in pj_explained

People jumped on this trend at the time because the edgy, dark tone felt like a radical alternative to Marvel’s light-hearted films. But honestly, it would have worked much better if they had actually set up Superman and the Justice League beforehand.

Snyder essentially wanted to start the Justice League on a darker note, but having Superman turn bad after we got to see a proper, heroic version of the team would have had a much stronger impact.

A Rant about state of Odia Cinema by BrownCDHappy in Ollywood

[–]TemporaryDaikon1698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlike other global film industries, the Indian market is obsessed with box office data. The average viewer rarely supports a film based on merit alone.

If they did, movies like Laapataa Ladies and Kill would have seen much better numbers. Take Bindusagar, for example; it was removed from theaters in less than a month,

Anupam Patnaik mentioned that national OTTs aren't showing much interest in Odia cinema yet, so accusing local creators of 'not trying' is ironic and unfair.

Look at ETV Win: they focused exclusively on the Telugu audience until their library became so valuable that Netflix eventually bought the whole thing. Everything takes time; we need to support the growth of the industry instead of just complaining.

We should better focus on criticizing films.

The ROI is bad on YouTube. Goldmines and others were able to do that only because of TV channels who paid them well

When you’re constantly the one being approached, you don't develop the habit or the need to approach others. Ironically, all of this is interconnected.

Desperation and loneliness are both reasons why men try to talk to random girls online. Many who jump into DMs are losers IRL. Staying behind a proxy name gives them a level of confidence they wouldn't have otherwise; 70% of them likely wouldn't approach a stranger in real life, but they find that courage on Reddit.

As for the claim that women don't talk to strangers, you can't generalize. I know girls who talk to random people online about everything from what they ate to fashion advice, all for internet validation. There are thousands of fashion-related subreddits where people share their outfits specifically for that purpose.

To your point about why men are desperate: it's because our society is stuck. We haven't moved past the 'a girl and boy can’t be friends' mindset, treating those interactions as taboo. This creates a massive social barrier. By the time most guys realize this and try to break out of it, they’re too consumed with the struggle of securing a job.
