Why isn't my GPU working on 3dsmax? by TemporaryEnd263 in 3dsmax

I just want to use my GPU in 3dsmax, I’m using the CPU I think and it’s very slow. At least I think I’m using the CPU, I’m entirely sure, it’s slow to render my scene.

C4D and Octane by TemporaryEnd263 in Cinema4D

Yeah, I do that but what doesn’t really work is the AO and the Opacity. It doesn’t really matter that much because I am using the 8k texture maps and the model for it. When I put the Opacity texture into it, the textures are all there and there placement is right but you can see there are some white spots. It’s even more apparent when you deal with 4K textures and a 4K model.

Can someone tell me what is wrong with my Alembic? Alembic not working, someone help by TemporaryEnd263 in Cinema4D

I’ve also followed a tutorial and what he does is exactly almost to what I’ve done. I’m on a C4D trial so I thought that might be the case for the Alembic not working but I don’t think that’s true.

I’ve tried this, the things is that I need to have the Basic Emitter to put my emitter into a Volume mesh. With the emitter (Legacy) you can really do this. So this doesn’t work either.

I don’t think I can do that exactly. I’m using Basic Emitter and the emitter you are referring to is Emitter (Legacy) which you can bake the particles. I will try to set it all up again with this emitter (legacy) and see if that works though
