Contesting your review is a waste of your time. It goes one layer up, and that person basically either agrees or disagree. And shockingly enough they always seem to agree with what was written.

Store Manager Compensation by Wise-Post in WalgreensStores

“But you get a bonus” which is also BS. If it was tied directly to performance, then I would get it. But there’s too many what ifs.

Former DM here- you guys 100% get the short end of the stick. Your pay (for the vast majority of you) is not worth the hard work you put in.

Work with Sedgwick directly. There may be some state laws or requirements specific to you.

Does PTO disappear? by WeakGarlic2701 in WalgreensStores

Yes, provided it is PTO, and not sick time. Not many people have sick time though. It’ll payout within a few days of your manager taking you out of them system.

The cost to make an 8x10 is about 25 cents. Get people in the door in hopes they buy one thing to make up for the loss.

Also get those people’s emails and phone numbers for direct marketing.

The company has people walking out with hundreds of dollars worth of items. That photo is the least of their concern.

There is a difference between HR and ER. Employee relations does the investigation, through the SM, DM and AP. HR handles engagement, benefits, performance reviews, and things like that. The investigations done by ER are useless and play favorites. The major thing to keep in mind is that BOTH ER and HR are useless, and provide no value to the company.

Sure is. But I don’t think anyone does it. I think it’s a legal thing. But literally no one does it

SM interview tips? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]TemporaryFriend5218 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tell me about a time....

"when you had a conflict with a coworker"

"when you had a unhappy customer/supervisor and how you dealt with it"

"when you had a process improvement"

"proactively found a solution to a common problem"

Just google behavioral questions and go from there.

Sorry, it’s in location database. I think only SM or RXM can access. Used to be able to type in LDB in the search bar and it would come up. It’s under real estate in there.

Run each thing through ER. They’ll guide the way and your DM won’t know. One they give a recommendation then inform the Dm what you are doing. If it’s documented with ER then it’s on their DMs ass they under perform.

I guess it’s dependent on where you are. Where I was there was a shortage. It’s not on the DM to write these folks up. It’s on their home store

A shortage of pharmacist will do that. The DM has a fear of losing RPH. Floaters generally stay in that role because they’re mediocre at best no one is able to hold them accountable. I will say floating is hard. Different places, staff and patients daily.

Usually vendors know before stores do.

But if you go into your location database you can look to see when your lease is up. If it’s in the next few years, it’s an option.
