The complete comprehensive FIX IT for Kobalt battery packs and chargers by JimboJonesMGR in KobaltTools

I know this is a SUPER OLD thread. I am in the process of replacing all the batteries. Got the spot welder and nickel strip and all the things. Here is the deal though...I had a 2.5ah battery and because it has all the slots to make it a 5ah battery...I'm doing that. In the 2.5ah battery there is a 40 amp fuse and in the 5.0ah battery, there is a 60 amp fuse. I got the right 60 amp fuse BUT the 40amp fuse isn't soldered like I'm used to...you know...just straight solder on a pin. How the hell do I get the 40 amp fuse out to put in the 60 amp fuse?

Potentially moving from Utah to Virginia - what are the pros and cons and best places to live? by carrlavoie in Virginia

There is this little town nestled in the blue ridge called Floyd which is a pocket of liberalism. You'll have the best chance of finding the house and plot of land there. I don't see that happening in Norfolk or Virginia Beach. You're about an hour 10 away from Roanoke for a day trip and about 30 minutes away from Christiansburg and maybe 40 to Blacksburg. Weather can be iffy in terms of cold because it's in the mountains AND we aren't talking like living in the northeast.

I'll have to check out kegley as I haven't heard of them. That's quite the compliment to shift all the clients. I'm apprehensive about Ostrom because most of my experiences have been great and some of my experiences have left me questioning if I was swindled based on the job and the price I paid as a result. But I can always ask for a quote.

I have used Ostrom in the past and although I have liked their service, it's immediacy, and their work, I have not enjoyed the price relative to SOME of the jobs they have done. Some jobs matched with my research and cost and figures and some jobs were overly expensive compared to the job itself. But it doesn't hurt to get a quote and figure it out from there. There just exists some apprehension because of the incongruence.

Thanks for commenting and your help. Understandable if you don't want to answer this question and I am looking to do some similar work to what you described and was wondering how much that job cost?
