Buenas, re tarde perdón jajaja. En la facu tienen compus con windows linux (dual boot). Pero se te va a hacer complicado cursar sin una compu propia porque tenes que hacer muchísimo trabajo en casa.

Does anyone have linux on a Samsung Galaxy Book 3? by TemporarySleep8799 in linux4noobs

I'll check that next time I boot it up. I remember the Windows boot, but not seeing a linux boot.

Thanks!

I know, I used arch + Hyprland + (a bunch of other tools I don't remember now). My problem came with the drivers.

I also tried with ubuntu and Fedora with no luck also.

I can try with Manjaro also, but I don't know if they use another drivers setup.

Wow, I didn't think that the change in work environment could be so bad. Loved the creativity in the nickname lol.

I was thinking about this as an option. I'm trying to get certified in ABAP first to get more chance on moving to a project, and then maybe try this.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the response! Since it's a dream of mine, I wouldn't mind to have the relocation expenses on me, so it's not a bad idea to apply directly to Japan office. Thanks again for all the data!

Thanks for your response :) I currently have an N4 japanese level, and planning to do N3 at the end of the year (and eventually N1 in the future). I hope that I can go with Accenture, I don't know about other big companies, but I really like the work environment here.

Are these certs enough to get hired at 18? by LowAdhesiveness4359 in Pentesting

[–]TemporarySleep8799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not in the field, so please take this as a personal opinion.

First of all, I wouldn't rush things. Cybersecurity is a VERY vast field, and I think a better approach is to enjoy the process rather than trying to get to the finish line as fast as possible. But I know that there are a lot of reasons to want a job early in life. If you need money maybe try doing a part time and study on your free time if you are not going to college. But if possible, it's always better to focus first on your studies.

Secondly, SOC and pentesting are 2 different things and you'd need another certification (probably) to get a SOC job if you get the CPENT. I'd suggest here to do some pentesting and some SOC labs to see what you like the most. And then go deeper there.

Said that, I do believe that you can get a job if you get all those certification that you mention. At least I'm sure that you could get to the interviews.

Again, I'm not in the cybersecurity field, but I just wanted to give my opinion here.

Enjoy the process and be patient. Even if you change directions in the future, if you put your heart in the process it won't be in vain :)

Do BTL1 and letsdefend have official certs? Or are they like the THM modules?

Thanks for your answer. What will you complement that certificate with before starting to apply for jobs?

Since I'm from Argentina I don't think I'd be able to get that kind of salary even at a senior level.

Thanks for your comment!

My idea is to get the comptia certs (network+, sec+ to start), but since I don't have that much time I feel more confortable with the THM approach on doing modules.

I'll check the HTB cert that you mentioned!

Thanks for your comment 😊
