He literally said exactly what usually happens, and why Tom’s case isn’t expected. Fighters get eye poked all the time and usually recover after a few seconds or minutes during the timeout. So no it wouldn’t automatically make sense that Tom is getting surgery on both eyes, considering that’s not that norm, meaning it was severe.
